I did my AoB run a long time ago, got my Berserker series of Badges, but missed out on the Longinus Gold Badge (how could I?!).  So I brilliantly decided to Sereg it up and attempted AoB+AoOC to grab the Longinus.  35 attempts later (all in one day I might add), my Longinus Gold Badge was secured and I felt like the King of The World!

Then I charged into the Mortuary.  I was zerked or zerking -- I cleared the right side relatively easily with my Medical Powerarmor for support.  As I made my way to the left though, I got smacked about like a human pinball, lost the defensive and healing powers of the Medical Powerarmor, and died with a large med-pack in my inventory.

Over-confidence indeed!

It's for Longinus Gold Badge, so the progression is always Bru->Bru->Ber->Bru[->HR->HR->...->MBm].  I tried a Marine build, but he was too slow -- stair sense is very useful because you need to know how far to get to UC and try to sneak in one or two more cLevs before you enter UC (you can get another level or so from the Lost Souls and demons in the UC).

I need to get at least cLev 3 (Bru->Bru->Ber) with three or four large med-packs to increase the odds of a win against the Angel of Death at low level; the odds are even better if I can mod my Chainsaw (either B or P or better yet, both).

Actually, I meant specifically for that scenario, wonder if picking Ironman would've gave you the 10 HP to survive that explosion, however I don't know if it gives you 10 extra current HP along with the max.

Even if I took Iro, it would have screwed up the run -- I needed 2xBru and Ber for fighting the Angel of Death.

So I win the battle but lose the war.

It looks like you neglected to take advantage of the most useful feature of the AoB/AoOC dual-angel!  Dropping your starting Chainsaw and picking it up again gives you a one-time berserk which is very useful for advancing up a level or two at the beginning.  I'll bet it would have taken fewer tries if you had done that.
