As well as my first Asskicking Marine win. :D

Man, this run was awesome, RNG was generous near the end but, taking on both Hell's Arena/CC+ as well as Deimos Lab with just two pistols has shown me how much better I've become. Feelsgood.jpg

Still can't really take on the mortuary yet. :<

I find that hell's arena is much easier then it used to be, but as compensation the chained court is no longer that "free heal + 10mm ammo" level. I dread to go there nowdays. Ugh.

As for the mortuary, let me put a recent amount of mortuary skips i've done:

-Onyx Red Armor, lots of Medipacks, Tactical Shotgun + P Double Shotgun, 2 hell skulls + hellwave pack, Gunrunner AoSh
-3 Red armors, lots of Medipacks, P double shotty + elephant gun, 3 hell skulls, Gunrunner AoSh
-2 red armors, Medium amount of medipacks, P Missile Launcher, elephant gun + tactical shotty, shockwave pack.

I'm scared crapless of that place. I remember entering once and dying nearly instantly, which was a LOT faster then I remember it to be. Unless i'm severely overestimating the difficulty of the Mortuary/Limbo or I just don't know how to approach it, I wouldn't go there again without the biggest fucking gun.

I actually got both the combat pistols in the Vaults. Like, I got one, was like "HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIET" and then fought through Barons/Spiders til I found the other one in the neighboring vault.

First time with Gun Kata, kinda fun but didn't fit me well, I think.

Wanna try Bullet Dance but everytime I look at what it does, then the fact it blocks hellrunner and EE, I'm like "So is this a pure cornershooting mastery...?" Seems awesome at first glance, but then just kinda meh when you realize you can't use it at max range without missing half your shots (Defeating the benefits), and you don't have a good way to close the gap, so like, I can only see it as a cornershooting build. ._.

Are you sure about this? I'm sure that i've seen enemies be resurrected outside of my LOS. If that was the case then I could simply use a skull and pick off the viles one at a time as they come to be.

I don't remember that at all though.

I still wouldn't do the mortuary even on HNTR though. ;~;

I cant be totally sure but there were 2 or 3 left when I phased and they didn't seem to be reviving many monsters I had to use knockback but I didn't have much issue killing the viles. Its the arachnotrons that game me the most trouble. The Viles absolutely, positively and very happily resurrect corpses out of your LOS. They can't resurrect corpses out of their LOS, though, so once you killed all the Viles, say, on the left half, the only danger comes from the right half (unless, of course, a Vile avoids you and gets to the left again). I even remember being really lucky once, when in Limbo all the Viles spawned in the center and right half area - leaving all the corpses in left half intact.
One needs a means of reliable corpse disposal. The best bet is a rocket (or missile) launcher or a BFG, skulls also work pretty well. IMHO Limbo is a bit easier, due to the lava surrounding the bridges. With reliable knockback (elephant gun works wonders here!) and good positioning you have a good chance that the Viles will soon enough have nothing to resurrect.

I doubt i'm a better player, but now i've got a more achievable goal then running head-first into N!.

Gun Kata is a fine trait, but I've long since lost my enthusiasm for dual wielding damager dealers. In League, I've come to enjoy Vi, Lee Sin, and other champs with knockbacks and mobility, so Gunrunner is just "up my alley" more so than me thinking Gun Kata is bad.
