Never really played an MCe build before, so here's the first one from last night.  I've not actually YAAM-ed in 0.9.9.7 -- I wanted to do a YAAM/Conqueror run, but was too lazy to do the routing and planning before hand (I'm not as good as the rest here that I can just wing it and succeed).

The first two failed runs before this, I began with Int, but soon found that it was a waste of the first free trait.  Since I wasn't doing pistols nor was I going to rely on shotguns, the only sensible starting trait was SoB.  And it worked quite well.  I picked EE instead of TH to save a bit on 10mm ammo, before cranking up the DPS while trying maintaining ammo efficiency.  This explains the progression of SoB->Int->EE before the next TH, where it was almost time to fight the Spider Mastermind.

Equipment-wise, I like the gatling gun.  It was one of the two remaining basic assemblies that I have not made (the other was the ballistic armour, where I used a quick AoHu to construct and get the Technician Gold Badge), and part of the reason why I didn't build it was that I rarely played rapid-fire/chain-fire builds.  I managed to find the Jackal, but traded it in for a high-powered chaingun as my alt-weapon -- my traits synergised more with MOAR DAKKA than pin-point precision strikes, and since I was still lugging a rocket launcher at that time, didn't really need the Jackal for wall-busting capabilities.

The main attack strategy was to lead with the gatling gun, emptying volley after volley of 10mm lead into the enemies.  And when I run out with the mob still standing, take a 1.0s swap to the high-powered chaingun to take it out (still cheaper than the horrible reload time of 2.7+ s).

The minigun was a free ammo chain for me -- I used it mostly to save one slot of 10mm ammo.  That A-mod was slapped on it in case I get caught in a vulnerable position while trying to "reload my ammochain" and had to do a quick fire -- using the minigun is very wasteful, especially on the later stages when the TH kicked in and the mobs requiring more lead pumped into them before dying.

I had originally modded a plasma rifle with an A-mod, but I think I ditched it in favour of a plasma rifle with a T-mod once I got 2xEE.  As you can tell from the mortem, I think I might have hoarded too much power cells -- I entered Hell with only 2 stacks of 10mm, but had a large enough stash of power cells that for the last 3 or 4 levels, I was just spamming plasma everywhere.  I swear that MAc doesn't give one enough sensing on just how much ammo is needed for plasma-ing the higher level mobs to death.

Again on inventory, say what you want, but P-modded red armour is still ridiculous.  I don't really care about the fire resistance that much (never had a good feel for them) but that 6 points of damage taken off post resistance makes a lot of difference.  I think I tanked the Phobos Anomaly with precisely that, as well as the Cyberdemon fight, where I ended up eating more rocket than I wanted due to a lack of DM, common sense and reloading time.

As for the two levels where I was targeted for extermination, I will say this:

I'll play more on HMP before "graduating" to UV.  The goal is to complete each Angel at least once on HMP.

The minigun is indeed ridiculous. Just the way I like it. MOAR DAKKA.

Too bad i've never had it on an ammochain run though =[

That sums up my opinion of the "You feel like you're being targeted" level feelings. I've only gotten those on Ao100 and when I did I was already steamrolling.

The only thing I love more than the Minigun is an F-modded Plasma Rifle on AoMC ^^
