"By Pelor, it sounds a little too convenient," Marek says.  "I know He works in mysterious ways, but this is bordering on the ludicrous."

To the mingling crowd, Marek looks to them and begins.  "Pelor thanks you all for your support!  Let us pray to Him so that He will guide us out of the coldness and be back into the light!"

Malek Deneith:
- So it was in the city... - Markelhay mumbles in amusement - I agree with the cleric, this does sound too convenient. Moreso if this "Winter King" is indeed the conqueror from old legends. That being said we don't have much of a choice do we? The scepter should be delivered to him - if he does reign in the winter after recovering what is his all good and well. And should he prove to be a threat anyway... you saw how his minions slaughtered my people. We simply aren't up to task of dealing with this threat, and it'll only get worse as the winter continues. I don't want to lay this burden on your shoulders but you're the only ones on the spot with any chance of success - would you lend us your aid in dealing with this problem?

Voices start to arise from the coroud:
- Please help us!
- Have mercy good sirs...
- We'll all die if this winter continues.

LuckyDee:
As Isirius mulls this over, he turns his smile upon Quill and thinks at her the question whether she's up for some more days of winter.

Xander Morhaime:
The kobold, for her part, was weighing the options of just getting away from the cold, and putting an end to whatever is causing the cold.

"Quill's tribe will help. But you had better reward Quill's tribe well for this. Quill does not like going into cold places, not in the slightest," she said eventually.

slave:
Observing others' reactions, Berak guesses that they wish to present the Scepter to the ship and have it take them to wherever. He feels that it's a more dangerous way of doing things, but not without its merits.
