Okay, this is kind of ridiculous.  For the second time, in the past couple of days, I just barely failed to get the Diamond I was trying to achieve, but somehow achieved another unintended Diamond!  :o  This time, I was trying for Quartermaster Diamond, and I managed to miss it by one measly kill, but I managed to get Gatekeeper Diamond.  Go figure.  :|  Anyway, the gunrunner build worked very well for my Quartermaster Angelic Badge game, so I went and did it again.  :)

I totally didn't intend to go for Gatekeeper Diamond until a lucky phase device took me past the opening ambush, (Well, almost; I was two squares shy of the right-most door and I ran the last couple of steps before enemies could wake up and start firing) and I proceeded to take everyone out with my combat shotgun from outside their visual range.  As for the Cyberdemon, I had gunrunner, shottyman, and a napalm launcher by then and he received a generous, speedily-delivered barrage of lava which I delivered by rapidly running back and forth in front of him.  All his rockets missed, thanks to dodgemaster.

The one guy that I missed was on Hell level 1, right after defeating the Cyberdemon and I have reason to suspect it was an imp, because it was a maze-of-rooms level and there were a couple of Baron/imp packs that dispersed and there were quite a few imps randomly wandering around.  I just couldn't find the last guy in time and I had to homing phase out at the last second.  The frustrating part about it is that if I had done my build a little differently, it wouldn't have happened; at that point, I had Int 1 and was half-way to Int 2, which I intended to get to help me find stragglers like that guy.  The only reason I didn't have Int 2 at that point was that I put a level into Ironman, which I did because I ran out of med packs earlier and I figured I needed all the hitpoints I could get.  It didn't help my mood that I got the Necroarmor shortly after that which basically turned the rest of the game into easy mode, because I had strong armour that also boosted my speed.

Bleah...  oh well...  (again)

JC also fell to a stream of lava from my napalm launcher which was somewhat complicated by the fact that gunrunner kept targeting his summons, but he was taking enough splash damage that he fell pretty quickly anyway.
