Some of you in the IRC channel may have noticed me making several comments about my game, usually about how many BFGs I had (4, 3 normal and 1 advanced) or how many invulnerability globes were near the stairs. Anyway, after getting an invulnerability globe right before going to The Wall, having Intuition 3 when facing the Mortuary, and getting 2 invulnerability globes before facing the Cyberdemon (and having a thermonuclear bomb, too :D), I got to the final boss. Sadly, even 4 overcharged BFG shots were not enough. Next time, no overcharging.
Technically this was a win, but I still died on level 26.
Looking at my inventory, I didn't do too good of a job. I get distracted easily. :P

4 BFGs fired normally and a RL fired the only way possible are certainly enough for a full win.
What you want to do, is start shooting the bastard when he's far away - that way, he spawns his lackies all around him while you're waaay out of their LOS, and they don't hunt blindly. That requires a RL, of course, as BFGs have a serious range limitation.
So - RL till he's almost near, then BFG 'till you're out, then RL to finish whatever may be left of him.

Also, consider you don't need Intuition to do this, 'cause with the current AI, all targets will head for the center horizontal line. This is especially true for the bosses, which instead work to align themselves with you once you're in sight, which to them is all the time. They are likely to be on the center horizontal line if 1) you're on it and 2) they've had a few turns to adjust.

How do you nuke CD Without killing yourself? Is there an inv globe nearby or what???

Um, I would think the obvious solution would be to find an Invincibility Globe on the level before, grab that, then head downstairs and use your nuke.
