What is Apostle?

In wiki, there is no article about apostle.

I guess that it is an ultimate, true boss of this game.

How can I meet it? How much is it strong? What kind of attacks it do?

Well, I've never encountered an Apostle, but I'm told that it's a super secret boss and very few people know how to meet it.  I don't know the exact requirements, but I'll share the rumours:

(click to show/hide)You need to wield the Dragonslayer, (I've never figured out how to do that) wear the Berserker Armour, (I think you can only do that if you are wielding Dragonslayer) and then get a full win by nuking the Mastermind while invulnerable.  I think that you can also meet it in the Angel of 100 challenge by getting to the last level with Dragonslayer and Berserker Armour.  I'm told that the Apostle is a kind of super Arch-Vile that does crazy amounts of damage and has a ridiculous number of hitpoints.
That's what I've heard.  I don't know any more details.

I do know that nuking the mastermind while invurnable does NOT get you to the Apostle, but it does get you to JC.

I do not know if one needs to wear the berserker armor/Dragonslayer, but according to word around the forums, I do believe you need to wear/equip both beforehand. And getting such a rare drop sequence (DS and Berserker Armor) is hard enough to achieve.

As for the hitpoints, I have heard differently. I have heard/read that the Apostle does do massive damage to you, but his hitpoints aren't much more than a HMP/UV Cyberdemon.

There's 2 ways to find/get Apostle.
The obvious way involves getting Dragonslayer and Berserker Armor(i think, not sure) and Fighting the Apostle in the end.
The more fun way is to Kill JC 50 Times once you've killed your share of Arch Viles/Hell Barons/Other Enemies to ascend high enough in experience rank. This way YOU get to become an Apostle. What causes JC to respawn?

Now I updated articles about Apostle, DS, BA (without direct DS wield requirements) on the wiki.

Hope these articles help many people who didn't get Apostle Insignia yet.
