[UV|AoMC|100%|YAAM] - First UV Win with more Violence than Violets!

Johnast Kempvough just got 2nd place in my Computer's High Score Table(1st place was my Ao100 Run) as an Ultra-Violent Asskicking Marine. This is my very first UV Win, using the same strategy that Luckydee had(AoMC+Masterless+Chaingunner+Scout), complete with a Veteran Gold and Destroyer Silver Badge. Too bad I took too much damage for Destroyer Gold/Platinum. For my next run I'm going to do AoShotgunnery, hopefully getting Gatekeeper Diamond or Full Win along the way, this time as a marine. It will be good practice for Radar Shooting, but I'm going to have to turn the music volume down even more(since it's still too loud).

And it wouldn't be a Win without a mortem, now wood it?:

Note: I don't know what causes the Spider Mastermind to Flinch, but whatever it is, it seems slightly overpowered. Perhaps it's the defence for chaingunners?

Wow, nice! How did you do Cybie without DM?

The flinching starts once you've dealt her enough damage, so that's pretty damn soon on AoMC :)

If you do damage bigger than some number (I don't know exact value), the SMM flinches. This threshold applies for each bullet.

So, in the standard game, you cannot flinch it easily, but it was an AoMC, which enables every attacks deals its maximum damage, making it much easier to flinch.

My AoSh run won't have AoMC or Int. I wonder how much harder it will be. Of course, like always, I'm not going to do very many special levels because alot of them are near-suicide in exchange for a powerful weapon with few healing/YAAMing options. Which shotgun should I aim for? Regular, Combat/Tactical, Plasma or Double/Super Shotgun?

tactical shotgun -> super shotgun is the best tree.

plasma shotgun is also very powerful, but it crashes walls, so don't use it in cornering.


If you got a nano pack in Hell's Armory/Deimos Lab, get an whizkid 1 (or 2) and assemble nano-sharpnel super shtogun (+ PPN) and mode +P again.

It enables you conquer everything.
