I hear you man, story of my life. I remember the first time i found it, back in 0.9.9.6 (you would still see the DS as found in you player stats even if you didn't wield it). I got so exited, called my GF and told her all about what the hell this was and what it meant all the while the DS was mocking me from my screen, just lying there waiting to be picked up. Don't think it impressed her though. Anyway.. in 0.9.9.7 i've seen many DSs lying around, just never figured out how to pick it up. I've tried every button on my keyboard as well as every button + shift but no succes so far. :(
