Thought I should tell you...
« on: August 14, 2015, 06:39 »

I don't know if anyone's aware of the cause of this, but my anti-virus (Sunbelt VIPRE) has informed me that all thngs Chaosforge (anything.chaosforge.org) are attack sites and should not be visited. Having been on the Chaosforge forums for several years now, I doubt this - however I am still curious as to what Chaosforge has done to be declared malicious, and thought it should be mentioned so that at least staff are aware...

From what I can tell, there is no malware, However the current version of Apache has a one serious security issue and about a dozen annoying issues that could be exploited. Other than that, we look clean.

From my understanding, it can be related to some of the other sites that are hosted by the same machine that is hosting stuff from ChaosForge.  Some of these other sites may be less maintained as compared to say the forums, and can be a reason why it triggered that response.

I'll see if I can get KK to get rimmon to look into updating our server and checking on these other stuff.
