I was low on health, but was hoping that I could kill the elite with just a few more 9mm shots instead of using up a lot more pulse rifle shots.  Unfortunately this did not happen the way I was hoping it would, as you can see. :/

Why'd I use the 9mm instead of the .44?  Simple, I was running low on .44 bullets and wanted to be sure I'd not run completely out, and I was getting annoyed at all the 9mm ammo I kept running across that was just sitting there which I had in spades (what annoys me more is that it seems as though the 9mm ammo and .44 ammo are the same color, making it impossible for me to at a glance know which is which, and making life using the .44 and trying to find more ammo for it annoying as heck).

Only one level away from level 8.. now if I can hit that area and make sure to find the Main Tower, it shouldn't be a long leap to the Queen and then to the finish line.

Elites are evil, they even open doors D:
My last two Scouts blew themselves up before they got near any of those elites :p

Seems to me that elites are the single best reason for carrying the pulse rifle around as the primary farther in the tower.  CSG's are nice when the biggest worry is a warrior or an accidentally PO'ed/attracted worker but once you start finding elites you need better penetration.

I probably should use up my grenades before my ammo next time, though... at least, if I'm not somewhere where I can't fregging see the aliens before they get in self-damaging blast range (like the Storage and Military towers >_<).

I got an Elite at point-blank range with a krak grenade, after healing myself a little. Worked like a charm.

Why was I in this position in the first place, you ask? Well, the damn thing just wasn't light green enough. "Warriors usually go down a lot faster than that", I thought to myself :)
