So, I was bored the other day and for no particular reason, decided to see if I could do a melee only Angel of 100 speedrun. (though, I still dawdled a fair bit along the way to get some really nice equipment) :) It was shakyish at the beginning, but my nano-modded red armour was a huge help for the early/mid game.
It makes me wonder if I could do the same thing in under an hour... In fact, if memory serves, waaay back in version 0.9.9.1, the requirement for Centurial Diamond was to complete Ao100 in under an hour and that requirement was relaxed in later versions, presumably because it was considered unreasonable. Right now, I am seriously considering firing up my version 0.9.9.1 copy of DoomRL and seeing if I can be the first to get that badge for that version. :)
