Once you get to Hell it's actually not that bad is it? I never got past Deimos 1 or 2 before on N! but the first time I did I went all the way. Was fairly lucky as despite no special levels I still managed to find Malek's and Cybernetic armour. The usual mad dash past the anomaly landed me in some reasonable situations for a change, so I was able to work my way out of them. Once I got ammochain and found Malek's armour I started taking it reeeaaaally slow and realised it was on. Hell went pretty smoothly mostly, except for the first which was a lava flood level, steel boots and no envirosuit made me nervous.. :)

I'd like to thank my high powered plasma rifle and the workhorse that is the shotgun.

That said, good win!  All [non-Sereged] wins on N! ought to be celebrated!

Also, it's been quite quiet here.  You may be a small handful of people who are playing DoomRL now despite all the past hype.

Nice one!  :D  A first Nightmare! win is a real achievement!  :)  And yeah, Malek's armour is a huge boon for the late game; ever since it got those resistances added, I'd say it's overtaken Necroarmour as my favourite unique armour to find.

I still play from time to time, just nothing worthy of posting.  (Well, nothing I would consider worthy of posting; I die a lot, so maybe you'd like to see that, TheLaptop)  :)

I'm definitely late to the party, but meh, I think I've got a lot to do still in this game.

Malek's armour is my fav I think. It's a revelation to have decent protection that actually speeds you up. Necroarmour I can't get to grips with, don't like my health dropping like that, although I'm sure there are situations where it is great.
