Well, judging by your age, it would seem that you were a '90s kid at one time, but I'll take your word for it that you were not of the namby-pamby variety. :) In any case, challenge accepted! :D
Let's see... it seems you were wandering around with an empty chaingun in hand. Would I be correct in guessing that you made the classic mistake of not realizing your weapon was empty and then trying to aim your weapon by tapping arrow keys rapidly? (I confess that I may have done this on multiple occasions in the past; nothing worse than trying to corner-shoot and instead dashing out of cover into a crowd of Barons) :P If that's the case then I suggest you look in the Config.LUA file for the line that says "EmptyConfirm" and set it to true. It makes it so the game prompts you if you try to fire an empty weapon. (That line has saved my bacon on many occasions) In any case, I think it goes without saying: Reload your darn weapon! :P
You were (apparently?) low on health, despite having 5 med packs. I admit that I'm also quite guilty of hoarding med packs more than I should, but the small ones, at least, could have brought you up to a survivable health range.
I'm not quite clear on what path you took up 'til the end, whether you started in the middle room and went right or in the right room and went left, but either way, it probably would have better to not go through the door until you had eliminated the enemies on your side of it. Those boxes would have made good cover to hide behind so that the enemies could only approach you one or two at a time.
Finally, I have to get back to the shotgun again, because really, what else were you planning to do with those inventory slots? 800 bullets seems excessive, especially considering that (I assume) you were heading toward Ammochain? Also, so were three stacks of cells for a weapon you don't have. (And at HNTR, it would probably have been quite a while before you encountered a plasma rifle, let alone a BFG) Personally, I'm not a fan of the Ammochain trait to begin with because of the fact that it blocks Eagle Eye, (EE is a huge benefit to a rapid-fire build) so it makes sense to have the shotgun around as a backup until you get yourself established. (Not the least because Lost Souls are bullet-resistant)
So, there's my (friendly) criticism. I hope it helps. :)
