So I thought I'd get some melee practice in before trying to tackle Angel of Berserk again, and decided to roll up another melee Technician for another Dual Chainsword Murder Run. How did it go, you may ask? Well...

184 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 161 of those were killed.
1 of those was killed by something unknown.
And 9 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

 13 souls destroyed the Mastermind...
3 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
3 killed the bitch and survived.
7 showed that it can outsmart Hell itself.

--------------------------------------------------------------

For the majority of Phobos, I primarily relied on the old reliable boomstick for killing monsters while ranking up Hellrunner and Dodgemaster and starting to rank up Brute. The main times I used the Chainsaw, which I grabbed in the Chained Court, were when I was berserk. I also racked up a stockpile of armor like I usually do when on melee runs, and managed to get myself a nice stockpile of health too. My main weapon against the Barons in the Phobos Anomaly was the tactical shotgun, which I created for the umpteenth time in Phobos Lab. Throughout the entire first episode, I did not pick up a single Combat Knife, a mistake that I would soon rectify in Deimos.

Early on in Deimos, I remembered that I was on a Malicious Blades run, which meant a DUAL CHAINSWORD MURDER RUN, so I picked up two combat knives as I came along. I also had the fortune early on to come across a Nano Pack, which I used on some Red Armor that I found. When not used for major assemblies, Nano Packs regenerate any armor that it's used on, which is pretty damned godly. This plus the habit I picked up of keeping myself healed beyond 100% through the use of health globes kept me alive through a good number of fights, and as I found Bulk Mods, I used them on my knives. The Containment Area saw me using Dodgemaster to take on the Hellknights and hitting Malicious Blades once again, taking my chainsaw to the last few Hellknights as my shells were running low. The City of Skulls saw me taking the chainsaw to the lot of the Lost Souls headed my way and stocking up on shells once again. The level immediately after saw me finding my first power mod and assembling my first chainsword, though I wouldn't pick up my second until the Halls of Carnage, after which I assembled my second chainsword, went crazy on every Caco and assmunch demon in sight, grabbed the BFG, waited for the lava to kill everything I didn't kill and bugged out. Words cannot express how much I love regenerating armor, and such was this armor's ability to regenerate that I ended up dumping nearly all my other armor, only saving a blue suit in case some bad luck ended up costing me the good suit. Along the rest of the way, I picked up the bomb, which got me set for endgame. I reached the Cyberdemon while my health was boosted to near max, and made a beeline for the big guy, wading through his rockets and his claw attack, and just tearing the living fuck into him until he was dead.

Hell opened up by pitting me against a lonely arachnotron that went down with little problem, and from then on, it was pretty much full-time chainsword mayhem in which I loaded up on health via health globes and soulspheres and played pretty much like a berserker. Getting a Berserk Pack was especially a joy, as this meant that most things died in one hit when I caught up to them. My most awesome moment was the start of one level where I had to fight two Viles, one Mancubus, four Cacos and a Revenant nearly at once -- a situation that would have rendered me fucked on most other runs. The Viles went down first, as they were lined up single file to the right of the vault containing the Cacos, which got opened when the Mancubus and Revenant cut loose. After gauging my situation, I downed a health pack and ended up going to town on the rest, killing them within seconds of each other each. After killing everything, I did an encore by taking apart eight or nine assmunch demons that went after me, killing them all with one hit each. The Lava Pits were entered on an Invulnerability, where I booked it across the lava, killing any Lost Souls that got in my way, then went after every shotgunner and other asshole standing before grabbing up some envirosuits and chasing down each of the stray souls I passed, killing the Lava Elemental and grabbing the Lava Element. The last level before Spidey was a Demon and Caco cave which also had an invulnerability, sparing me from having to use the Lava Element's invulnerability to nuke Spidey to hell.

Unlike my last Malicious Blades fight with him, Carmack didn't last long, sending a few Lost Soul summons my way before I decided to go after him like I went after the Cyberdemon, ignoring his summons and getting right in his face and hack-and-slashing away, not even giving him time to teleport away. He was only able to get up to Barons before I fucking eviscerated him.

Since your goal is progress in Angel of Berserk, I feel compelled to ask if you've been practicing on higher difficulties or not (as the Angel challenges have a minimum difficulty of HNTR). Presumably yes, but since you're not posting YASDs for them I can't know for certain.

Still, Full Win on ITYTD isn't guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination (as there's no guaranteed nuke on ITYTD), so congrats. Where did you find the nuke, do you remember?

I got my hands on the bomb in Deimos. I don't remember which level though.

I was about halfway through a Scavenger run when my power decided to blink out, erasing the run and forcing me to restart my machine and do file cleanup, which pissed me off big-time.
