I hit a switch and was ambushed by 5 Barons of Hell and a former commando. I couldn't win, I died within 3 rounds.
I'll start again though.

It's generally not a good idea to hit switches that late in the game unless you are really, really desperate or you have Intuition.

Could you please explain what you mean by "intuition"?
I would really love to rack up my kills and experience, because it's my first time through the game I guess I've learned the hard way about what switches really mean.
I'd never thought such a simple looking game could be so horribly addictive. :)

Not bad for a first timer.

"intuition" is a perk\trait in the game. You can only access it once you have got level 2 "Eagle eye".
