So, yesterday, I got a request from NeonBuddha to record an Angel of Confidence video, so I decided to see if I could get Daredevil Platinum while I was at it and I was successful!  :)

I decided to do it with a Malicious Blades build, but quickly came to regret that choice...  My reasoning at the time was that I wanted to see if I could get Conqueror while I was at it, so I wanted to get Dodgemaster early on so I could deal with the Shambler(s) and the relatively early Cyberdemon.  It was helpful in evading damage, but not so much at killing my enemies, so I had ammo and health worries for about the first half of the game...  That all changed when I hit level 7 and could finally pick up the master trait and everything became considerably easier after that, with my dual-wielded Chainswords!  :D  (Later replaced by Azrael's Scythe)  :)

I had to abandon the idea of getting Conqueror very early on, when I exhausted my supplies trying to clear Deimos Lab.  I was in no shape to defeat two Shamblers and I didn't want to risk a game in which I found two power mods and two bulk mods so early.  (Perfect for my plan of dual-wielding Chainswords!)  :D  Interestingly, it still credits me as having completed that level even though I didn't unleash the Shamblers.  Other than that, I skipped every special level except for Unholy Cathedral, (a must for any melee build) and Lava Pits, which I totally didn't intend to do except that I happened to find a nuke and invulnerability, so I figured, why not?  :)

This was awesome to watch, and a good reminder to not limit yourself to your Master trait weapon. As always, watching you play is a good reminder to be careful and efficient no matter how well supplied you are. Way to pull through with no medkits!

Thanks for watching!  :D  And yeah, that was an uncomfortably long time to go without med packs.  I thought I was gonna die for sure!  :o

If I was to do this over again, I think I would have gone with a masterless build and started with Son of a Bitch and Eagle Eye traits to make the most use of my starting armaments.  I don't know how people use burst weapons without EE, quite frankly; it's a bit ridiculous being able to empty my Chaingun into a Cacodemon without killing it, when a level or two in EE will let me kill it in 2 or 3 bursts!  (It would also be nice to kill Demons before they start biting me)  It made me far too dependent on my shotgun in a section with almost no shells.  :|  It's why I never use the Ammochain master trait, even though it seems to be some people's favourite.
