Yeah, with a CG I've had no problems at all there.

Regarding pillars, since you know your targets're around the center of the level (sooner or later), try shooting from an angle, keeping as much of the middle of the center horizontal line on the targeting path as possible. It works for me (but it's a pain in the ass).

Regarding the Cacos - well, that's the tradeoff of being an AoMr ;)
