Looking for some rougelike games I stumbled upon an information about CastlevaniaRL ... as a big fan of the series I wanted to take a look but the site for the game appears to be dead. So I have question - does anybody have this downloaded, and can share it?

Kornel Kisielewicz · « **Reply #1 on:** December 12, 2005, 01:14 »

Don't worry, the project is not dead, and I'm sure Santiago will bring the site up ASAP.

Well... it is nice to stumble uppon this post, almost by the forgiveness of the RNG :p

I will release the next version next week (1.1e); and it comes with a LOT of new features, so keep tuned ;)

Turgor · « **Reply #6 on:** January 02, 2006, 23:53 »

Hmm.. i think i'll check this out when you release the next version in that case.

Kornel Kisielewicz · « **Reply #7 on:** January 03, 2006, 00:43 »

Slash! Well would you look at that ^_^. Nice to see you here :-D. I hope you will drop in when DRL 0.9.9 will come out and tell me what you're thinking 'bout it :-)

As for CastlevaniaRL I'll try it as soon as I'll have enough free disk space to install JRE. No kiddin -- I don't have ANY diskspace now :-(

Santiago Zapata · « **Reply #8 on:** January 06, 2006, 01:06 »

Yes, I will be glad to make a full review for 0.9.9, so just let it come ;)

So, you dont have 7MB available for the JRE?? :p

I hope you can give a look to the game in the next version; it comes with a lot of enhancements ...

Dont be so hard on him, The :-P at the end of that post denotates it as all in good humor.

Malek Deneith · « **Reply #14 on:** February 24, 2006, 22:19 »

Well ... 1.1e is out ... there are quite a lot improvements ^^

Santiago Zapata · « **Reply #15 on:** February 25, 2006, 18:53 »

Well yes, I personally prefer to only release when it is worth it, perhaps i must have released it as 1.2, as the game itself is much more enjoyable and stable.

I hope to see a YAVP soon ;)

Personally I didint know what to do in the forest area, I got the general idea that the townsfools..err I meant townsfolk turn into zombies at night..

But I couldent find an exit in the forest..

Santiago Zapata · « **Reply #17 on:** February 25, 2006, 21:28 »

As one of the townfools says... the castle is just east of the town :p

And no, they dont turn into zombies... ;)

But well, this be no place to discuss the game, else we may cause the anger of the Kornel ;p please place your comments at the game website ;)

I've found a bug in CRL

When there are multiple immediate pickup items on the same tile (I.E Bag of gold and an invis potion) only one will be picked up at a time

Santiago Zapata · « **Reply #19 on:** March 02, 2006, 13:41 »

Hmmm... this is not supposed to happen ...
