in this specific run, I had been going on for a while finding one or maybe two medikits per floor. I had just picked up that globe, when I noticed the baron... walking away calmly didn't work so I tried dropping dead, which seemed to work.

anyways, later on I went on this AoMr run and got to floor 7 with no apparent medikit shortage... it's just... there was this door I hadn't seen, and a sergeant right outside of it, and this barrel behind me, and... well... I hope I haven't say anymore.


also I'm breaking the chain on this board. too many non-YASD topics; someone oughta fix that

spider mastermind. could be the boss of a special level, a tad more health than an archvile and fires the same way as the heavy weapons guy, only stronger

an idea i've had today:
Angel of Retribution

But John, you are the demons.
and then John was a Cyberdemon.

Pros: You are the Cyberdemon. You sit in the arena waiting for marines to come so you can shoot rockets at them. Different tactics could be developed for different types of marines.
Cons: Have you ever fought CD in AoMr? Getting to him is probably harder than killing the poor guy...

Marines could be taken from your Mortem or generated based on a decent build for certain challenges (AoB, AoMr, AoSh...). Nukes would be placed on the ground once triggered, and if you get to them fast enough, you can shoot them out.
new tactics could be developed, for example, the problem with AoMr is that they can shoot and reload faster than you can even move, let alone fire/reload. What you'd have to do would go behind a corner, and employ a "prepared" tactic, that allows you to fire at the marine as soon as he comes into view, sort of a reaction fire if anyone's ever played XCom.

Drilling Tool

a tool that lets you break walls. is an usable item; breaks up to 5/6 walls in a straight line, and is dropped at the end, leaving it vulnerable to explosions then.

would be useful for storming the wall in AoMr/Sh/B... just for the e-peen or something?

add unique knives that you can dual wield too, or let you dual wield a combat knife with a cleaver, or something. I dunno.

also needs more spider mastermind :(
also also, if possible make everything red (captains, cacodemons and barons of hell) the same red as small medkits/globes of health. it's pretty ridiculous how hard it is to tell them against bloodied floor/bloodstone :(

better than my other run in which the only unique I got was... phaseshift boots. and something at the lava pits, but since I had invuln I didn't search it.

Try Spider's Lair without moving into one of the teleporters (or at all, even) if you think it isn't challenging. :D

I've done it, it's possible, in fact it's probably easier on AoMr, but it will surely have you biting your nails. :P

Never liked idea of making anything in my life harder if i could make it easier.))
