Aye, agreed. I think that seargants should have the possibility to shoot various types of shotguns. The later the levels, the higher propability, that they will be in possession of combat or double shotgun.
I agree, although AoB players might panic a little when faced with a DS-wielding FHS ;). Then again - no risk => no fun...

Maybe just ad a DS as one of the Arena rewards? Would make sense for shotgun players to go there.

Few more ideas:

-Grab and use/equip command It would be a very nice option to instantly equip/use an item lying at DoomGuy feets. Maybe with a capital 'G'?

-Level feeling for out-of-depth monsters Level feelings are nice. Revenants on level 10 are nice too. So why don't make things nicer overall, and make a level feeling for out-of-depth monster spawn on a given level? "Something is not quite right here..." perhaps?

-Monsters can wield weapons on higher difficulties Monsters can already wield armor, so why not make them able to use weapons on HMP and above? Encountering a BoH with double shotty or some unique (Dragonslayer, har har) could be a interesting experience...

Would not be quite sure to this impossibleness. RNG has a very twisted sense of humor (see: spawnig you into 3x3 room with two pain elementals and 6 lost souls). Anyway, sergants should drop shotguns, nothing more. Combat shotgun is easily found on floor (on my last HMP run I've found 4 of them on level 2) and double shotgun... well, it's luck based. And it's good that way, really.

Well, Missle Launcher is a nice unique, so when I found, I've decided to drop one of my pistols and toy with it. Everything went very well, until I shoot a Hell Knight on point blank range. Reading manuals of heavy ordinance weapons should be obligatory for DoomGuys

Concerning the build- it's exactly the same one that I used to win. It should work, then, yet, I still have this unpleasant feeling, that I won only because RNG spawned an Gothic Armor for me.
And about double shotgun- it can spawn any time, in fact. I've found it on level 2, and also I could not find it until level 15. It's pure luck-based.

About the Arena- my personal rule, which worked well (so far...) is to enter it only if it have spawned on lvl 3, and I have 4 or more med-packs. Why? Being an AoMr fan, after clearing the level 3, I usually have very few exp. reaminig to character level 3, which means dualgunner or shottyman.
One digression- paradoxically, Arena seems easier on HMP than on HNTR. Well, less cacos, and you're very likely to already have a entering it. chaingun.

Combat Translocator
Damage: 0
Accuracy: N/A (always hit)
Clip: 20, consumes 5 per shot
Ammo: Plasma cells
Firing time: 0.7 sec
This weapon does not harm enemies- directly, at least. Anyone hit by that is teleported randomly, just like after using phase device. Can be a lifesaver, or life-taker. And give you SO MUCH FUN in Hell's Armoury or other level with a lot of lava. Obviously, it does not work on DoomGuy.
Alternate fire - you teleport yourself.
But this weapon is really, really powerful. On the other side, you would have to wield it to use it, so bye, bye second weapon!

Nah, that's what the Hell Staff is for. Anyway, imagine using it on BoH, only to find that he teloprted right behind you:P
