Title: Moderators
Post by: Kornel Kisielewicz on February 09, 2006, 12:25
Due to spam attacks, the following members have been granted moderator rights:

Anticheese (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php?action=profile;u=55)
Aerton (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php?action=profile;u=10)
Igor Savin (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php?action=profile;u=5)

If you feel they overuse their priviledges, please tell me ;-). General Mod-policy on the DoomRL forums is ONLY to delete spam and malicious posting. Anything else is allowed until announced otherwise.

Whatever fits your boats :P

Taking moderator action is sure a good idea, there is no forum without bad guy running around and posting crap here and there.

After my last job, I'm inclined to agree with you there Malek..

But fortunatly the DoomRL forum is full of nice people, Its community is smaller than I would have liked, But everyone here is a nice person.

The only bad thing that has happened to this forum during my stay is a minor spambot posting to what I think was a weightloss site...

We are a small community, so we are more like a friendly family :) In MY moderating experiance on other sites, things could get pretty bad......i removed a troll-a-licous post and got a virus!

An unregistered spammer posted a stack of spammy websites in the Announcement forum.

I deleted it.

But seriously, Unregistered spammers being able to post in the announcment forum? I think it would be a good idea to restrict access in regards to posting in that forum..

Yeah, having unregistered users posting in the announcements forums is pretty stupid. Having unregistered users post at all also doesn't sound right to me.

Da.

I wonder...

To prevent spambots who hide links in signatures and never post - Thus causing google to link more to their sites..

Could we have it so that unless you first post within say, 2 weeks of registering the account gets removed?
