You know, the usual survival. Random opponents appear along with random weapon, ammo and item drops....pretty much like the Hell's Arena.

I think there's something like that under the various mods that people have done... not sure if it is updated for 0.9.9.6 though.

It is polite to call people with their surnames until told otherwise. If I offended him then I apologize.
Anyways, I think this topic has been answered, moderators can lock it at their own discretion.

mcz117chief -- it's a question of culture. In our Slavic culture it is indeed rude to call people by their name unless familiar. In the US-grown Internet culture it came to be a common custom to call everyone by their name regardless of familiarity. Takes a while to get used to tough :P.

Found at this link (http://doom.chaosforge.org/wiki/Modding:Documentation#Getting_Started):
If you're just here to figure out how to play modules, it is a very simple process:
- Download either a folder with the .module extension (this is a "raw" module) or a file with the .WAD extension.
- Place the folder or file into your "modules" directory, located in your DoomRL folder.
- Start DoomRL, then select the "Custom Game" option.
- Select from any of the modules in the menu, at which point the normal game startup procedure will begin.
I'm fairly positive that I updated the game to work with 0.9.9.6, but lemme know if there are any errors by posting in the appropriate thread (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php/topic,4683.0.html).

Also that would be good idea to make 2 endurance/survival modes...
The first is the infinite arena, which was made as mod.
The second is the game with infinite levels. Like A100, but A∞. And there's no victory, but stats are counting as for normal game.

I think I'm allowed to say now that one of the new challenge modes in 0.9.9.7 is called Archangel of 666. Technically, it isn't endless, but it sure is long enough to feel that way. :P

You need to gain some ranks. Ao100 unlocks at Sergeant Major, AAo666 one or two ranks later.

If anyone has played Dungeon Crawl : Stone Soup recently, the Thunderdome dungeon sprint is basically like that, there's a bunch of waves, and each wave has a bunch of different enemies, and it's all on the same level, there's shops around the arena that are used to buy items, maybe since doomRL and shops would never ever work together, we could make it work similarly to how the Hell's Arena works right now, where after each wave completed items spawn.
