Just a little brainfart that came up in me -- how about we start a little CF multiplayer gaming community?
Wherein we can play various games with each other over net play, such as Doom, Quake, Unreal, etc... if we can get someone to set up a private server we might also have our own little TomeNET or Mangband server. Or maybe a Minecraft world. Heck, just whatever people feel like playing.
If you think it's a good idea, perhaps also a seperate irc channel.
As an interest check, maybe leave a message in this thread if you're up for it. If enough people are interested we'll do it.

I'd like to see some classic Doom DM and maybe Q3 Arena. Good thing is that very soon I may be unemplyed again, so I'll have time most of the day =)

I gotta say, this isn't a bad idea.
We need games where the servers are centralised - so that everyone from all across the world can play, and not get hampered by ping.
Anyone want to create a steam group or something for this? I'd be down for joining for sure!

Nice idea.
Perhaps someone would be in for some two-player arcade games via Kaillera? Beat-em-ups, shoot-em-ups and the like?
(Not that it would be better than meeting in a pub personally and play all evening long ;) ).

If you would mean it's various arcade clones (e.g. Dynablaster), then via Kaillera. For PC, I'm sure it would be fun as well, but I don't know :(.

I remember playing with friend games like Stronghold Crusader via gameranger. Or Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe. 'Good times', like GameHunter would say. :D

I play TF2, Counter Strike Source, Battlefield 3, Skulltag, etc...

I play a little of everything. I have too many steam games...lul

There's already a Chaosforge steam community (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/chaosforge), but a server for non-steam games is a good idea, if anyone can agree on what to play.

I only have Audiosurf and Cave Story+, though I'll probably dabble in TF2 once I get a better computer.

I vote for it. It's very good idea. Really wanna see Minecraft World created by DoomRL players xD also maybe we should create something like Hamachi room(or something like that - i'm not at the subject enough to discuss)
