Title: Save on crash not working on my computer

Yesterday I was playing AoB and when I killed an arachnotron on Dlvl ~17 or so with the chainsaw, the game crashed, but it didn't do that "save on crash" thing, so I had to restart only to be promptly killed by a horde of shotgunners :P.

I use Xp Sp2, if that matters. Any idea why it doesn't work?

Ar you sure you didn't do a "closedown" of the application?

I was running it from the .bat on a predefined window. It just auto-closed when I killed that arachnotron. Should I run it from "cmd" perhaps?

Nah, that's not a problem. I'll wait for someone else to say that it also zerocrashed on him :-|. Or maybe fixing the known bugs will help with that :-|

Well, I actually had crash like this some time ago, but it said "critical error 255" or something. This happened while I had DoomRL runnning on background while doing something else, and the game did not save. If you have IRC logs available, you can search for "critical error" there.
