Huh, a burst nuclear plasma rifle. I should have thought of that... would be great with my ammochain build. I wonder if I can still make it burst if I already have sniper on it?

Thanks, got it now, and it has space for an extra P mod... I wonder if I should have waited for some Gothic armor, just to make it as ridiculously strong as possible.

Yeah, that's why I find this whole taboo thing so ridiculous. I don't care about figuring it out myself. I care about picking up the goddamn Dragonslayer.
I do understand why some people would want to figure it out on their own, and don't want it spoiled... but as far as I'm concerned, someone could PM me how to do it and I'd be just fine.
On a (presumably) related note, is there some special combo involving the Berserker armor and Dragonslayer? Cause right now I'm considering finishing off my cybernano armor and forgetting about Bereserker, since its stats look awful... 0 armor, no high resistances, ridiculously slow, and permacursed.
Edit @ below: That wasn't my point at all. I'd like to pick it up... if I ever find it again. I just don't feel like stressing about it for hours, leaving the game running, trying all sorts of ridiculous things that probably aren't even close to what's actually required, and otherwise hating life, like so many people seem to be doing because of it =P

Your VAGUE MODE statement assumes one knows what the requirements are beforehand... without knowing, it's impossible to take such steps.
Also, by much easier, do you mean much more likely to be possible, or possible regardless, but somehow less difficult in terms of playing skill?
The last bit of your post makes me sad for this run, but ultimately it will be easier without that condition, I suppose.

Well, I had nothing else to use the Onyx on, so I threw it on that thinking it'd prevent it from dropping its armor value - didn't even really consider a Power mod. I'd say I'd use it next time, but I don't intend to ever build that again =P
I'm back on a new run, gotten past the critical point where I'm at serious risk, and things are looking nice. I do have a Berserker armor, so I'll actually try to pick up Dragonslayer this time - who knows, maybe the Berserker armor is part of the hidden requirements? They certainly seem like a set...
I did accidentally take a point in Brute, instead of Badass, because I can't read or something, so it will be slightly more useful if I manage it this run then it would have last run. And I'll be way more careful with BFGs this time, lol. Still able to achieve YAAM this run, so things are looking good.

Oh, alright... mine cost 5 per shot... I thought that was the default, since, you know, it's a rapidfire weapon, and what good are those if you get 2 shots per magazine? Also, I read Ammochain to mean any rapidfire weapon would only use 1 round per firing, so I thought the 5 meant it wasn't working. Well, good, it did work... too bad it killed me, lol. That thing does so much damage...

Oh well, if it's as good as you say, it's worth trying next time, especially if I'm not 25 yet... though I have not the slightest clue how to go about picking up. You asked if spoilers bothered me... no. I'm the guy who read all the ADOM guides possible trying to figure out how to get the cool hidden stuff there. I don't want a challenge, I just want to be godlike. That's probably why I was enjoying my existing build so much - nothing could kill me, short of my own massive stupidity, which is why I now have a chance to start over and grab a medal of prejudice this time.
If it's not considered too spoily, can someone who has picked it up at least indicate whether the conditions are something anyone can fulfill on any floor, or if they're such that if the right random circumstances aren't present(say, It involves a phase device or some such, and you're not carrying one, and there's not one on the level) you simply won't be able to achieve it?
One further question related to the forums: how do I elaborate on the text within tags like spoiler or hyperlink? I took a web design class ages ago, and can no longer remember how to include any additional text in there.

So I was chainfiring it to clear out a nice little welcoming party, and clicked through it a little too fast, targeting a nightmare demon that was getting close to me rather then a baron further out, and damn did it hurt.
I'd already screwed up by locking a nanoskin armor on myself - it was good protection, but it blocked off my use of the Inquisitor set, and prevented me from finishing up my assemblies. I also managed to somehow miss a single kill, so it wouldn't have been a YAAM anyway. Little bit disappointing, since I was already almost halfway there, but I can do better next time.
The build was working nicely - infinite armor, infinite ammunition, and immunity to anything on the ground, and I could two shot pretty much anything, including cyberdemons if I switched to BFG 10k. Hopefully I can manage to get a good start again - once it gets going, only sheer idiocy like this can stop it.

I'm not sure... I had the Inquisitor set with that nice speed boost, but then I managed to lock on a nanoskin armor which won't come off and is blocking my technician diamond this run(so is a complete lack of chainsaws - how do I get 3x DS and not a single chainsaw?), so I don't think I have the movespeed to make a melee clear work. Currently I'm sitting back and blowing people away from ridiculous ranges, especially if I get light amp or tracking computer - if I had to close all that distance, I think I'd take more damage then I could sustain.
Even if I could one-shot anything with DS, that's not a huge improvement over my current weapon, and it exposes me to far more damage... unless DS has abilities I'm entirely unaware of. Not something I'm really willing to risk this run, I think - maybe when I go back with Scavenger to finish off my assembly collection, I'll give it a try if I find it again.

Huh, that's not a dual angel I think I'll ever manage, lol. Nice run, though - I got to try a powered armor earlier in my current AAo666 run(only time I've ever seen a nano pack), and they're quite nice. Unfortunately, I was careless and broke it.
