First, I haven't gotten sergeant major rank yet so I haven't actually played angel of pacifism yet. But to my understanding, it means you can't use weapons. Isn't that the same as angel of berserk minus the berserk bonus's?

Was hoping that maybe in te future there would be a way to combine challenge modes? I think this would add even more replayability to the game and add mare challenge for the veteran skill players ( I'm only mediocre btw ) which there seems to be quite a few now.

For instance, I'm sure Angel of 100 would be extra fun combined with any other challenge (except angel of haste maybe). Angel of Berserk and angel of humanity would be extra challenging for sure. Angel of Darkness and Angel of Marksmanship sounds kinda fun. Angel of max carnage and angel of berserk sounds gruesome. Angel of red alert combined with angel of darkness seems like it would be extra challenging.

It could be made as an unlockable feature most likely. Hopefully not gold/platinum/diamond hard to unlock. :P

It could also have it's own set of badges/medals for completing or achieving certain goals while playing a specific combination of challenges.

On a semi-related note, there doesn't seem to be that much difference between angel of berserk and angel of pacifism.

Anyways, I think it would be a cool feature if possible and I'm sure the veteran skilled players would most likely enjoy the extra challenge.

Was just trying these out for the first time in version 9.9.4 and noticed that the enemies have a sound for something labeled "hoof". I was wondering what this was exactly and if there was a sound for the shambler, lava elemental, and aod that could be used for it?

Also, any special/specific sounds for the Arena Master?

Also again, in the configs listed in this thread, it says to put the sounds into "sounds/Bosses/*enemy". But all the other sounds in the game are just in wav/ folder. Do these boss sounds have to be in a sounds/bosses folder? Or can they just be put into the wav folder with the rest?

Not sure if it is intended but I recently played a couple of games as the scout class on angel of red alert challenge and I never know where the stairs are like I would playing any other game as a scout.

I would definitely like to see an option to play classless they way the current version works. I suppose it could have some limitations. I like the way it plays now where for the most part, players are free to customize there character practically any way they want. Personally, I would like to see this option available from the start, but would except it as an unlockable game mode (which will hopefully not have too steep of requirements for the average/slightly below-average player to unlock)

The class of Storm trooper doesn't really seem like a good match thematically for army of the dead to me. Maybe something like Deadite Slayer? Or some army of the/evil dead reference?

Lol. More like a 1'st person doom mod for doomrl.

I've used noteye as well. A nice utility for roguelikes. Wish Z would continue work on it. 

THe korax mod for hexen adds things like experience and new abilities based on experience. I think it would be possible to do something similar to doom. Possibly use scoredoom and/or korax mod as a base. Just like a new wway to play through the old levels and wads while scoring points, permadeath, gaining experience, levels, and traits. Maybe even fit tactics into it. If the player runs for a certain amount of time, he/she become tired and moves slower. Then they need to find a health pack or globe to be able to move at normal speed and run again. The hexen/heretic code could even be used so the player could have an inventory. A couple hexen items already work kinda like doomrl items like the chaos whatchamacallit doohicki works the same as the phase device for example. 

On Topic: I wonder how teleporters could be made more interesting? Maybe if there were always two teleporters that spawn at the same time so the layer could move back and forth between them. Then they could be used as a shortcut or even telefragging monsters.

Is that true? I can't remember myself what color the stairs were last time I reached the hellgate.

If it is true, then it must be a bug I guess since there are no grey stairs in the screenshot.

The red stairs ( > ) in the lower left section. Since your on level 14, level 15 is always the Hellgate. Since the Hellgate is considered a special level, the stairs are red. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Afraid I can't answer any of the other questions though.
