Not pictured: Teleporter I stepped onto. Then I was hit by a fireball and killed... before teleporting... which should happen the instant you step on the pad.

It was my first time in 0.9.9.5 (hey did you know DoomRL updated?) so I was mostly screwing around, and you know what happens when you screw around: freak accidents.

Shit happens. This is the first thing you learn after you play DoomRL for the first time.

"Using a teleporter: 1.0s (in addition to the cost of moving onto the teleporter)"

This feels kind of silly, is all I'm saying. I guess it goes both ways, but...

The teleporters are of the "Minecraft's obsidian gates to the Nether" kind, it seems. Anyways, it's supposed that everything has to have an specific time to use. If not, it would be an exploit used to escape certain death.

It makes perfect sense, it takes a second for the teleporter to charge before it can function.

Maybe it would be a good idea to add messages for stepping onto a teleporter and for the teleporter's operation?

it would be an exploit used to escape certain death.

This is what teleporters are, though. I guess when I think 'teleporter' I think 'square thing with a star on it that teleports you if you step on it, brush past it, or merely look in its direction'.

I'd have figured the 'use time' would be the time spent stepping into the square.
