I would definitely keep the monsters hurting themselves, as it is more realistic. And I think that if a monster is hit by another monster, it should retaliate - Hell is, after all, fiercely competitive, so why not let demons fight over who is going to bring the marine intruder's head to its masters :-). Of course, the retaliation to "friendly fire" should occur only if the perpetrator is closer than the marine.

Well the one ammo problem I see is the fact that after some level 10mm and shotgun shells start to be hard to get - which is nasty if you play using pistol/chaingun/shotgun... It'd be nice to see ocasional "Ammo Storage Rooms" (rooms like vaults, but packed with ammo - the ammoun of ammo could depend on how deep you are and how rare the ammo is)

Maybe add heaps of this type of "lower" ammo in the buildings of hellish cities? I agree that it might be difficult to imagine demons sleeping on 10mm bullets, but at least their rooms would not be so empty ;-)

I don't know how much trouble would it be to color the armor status bar (to yellow at 50%, and red at 25%), but I'm not sure if it's worth the time... The armor is a consumption goods, ad will never last long :-)

I was just wondering... What prompted you guys to start playing DoomRL? How and where did you fin it?

Myself, I read a review on Abandonia - Reloaded, and since I was in a roguelike mood and got bored with ADoM, I decided to give it a try... and in a few games, I was hooked. :-)

Just remembered a typo in post mortem text at the bottom:

"Some rumours, though, say that the CD was killed already!" - I think there is a missing comma before 'though'; I put it in bold.

EDIT: For better visibility, I put it in red bold :-)

I think that a special trait for wielding two knives is a waste of trait. Why just not allow to attack with two knives if you have one in hand and another in prepared slot?
