Technician Diamond is not hard even if you do not wish to read spoilers; it is merely tedious.

Armorer Diamond is only hard (rather than just very tedious and a bit tricky) because the DoomRL community likes to pat itself on the back about having secrets.

No. The easiest diamond badge is Technician (theoretically achievable without ever leaving ITYTD), and the second easiest is Armorer.

In my opinion, AoOC isn't actually easier until you're on N!, and even then it's less "easier" and more "faster". You will die way, way more often doing AoOC,
AoB + AoOC feels easier than AoB, because the subjectively-biggest difficulty driver for a vanilla AoB run is sergeants.

I seriously don't know how people get diamond badges. My first diamond is probably going to be from getting uniques..
Assemblies. Getting Diamond from uniques means collecting three Berserker Armors.

Now... how am I going to get enough golds for captain... I'm so bad at this game =P
Build all basic assemblies (#1: Technician). Enter Babel with plenty of Invulnerability duration left (#2: Gatekeeper). Clear Unholy Cathedral (#3: Longinus). Complete Angel of Overconfidence (#4: Daredevil; I recommend cheesing it with a Dual Angel AoB/AoOC). Complete Angel of 100 (#5: Centurial). Clear the Vaults (#6: Scavenger).

Other viable targets are "Complete the Mortuary" (Reaper) and "Complete AoMC on HMP+ with the Untouchable Badge" (Destroyer).

I'm tempted to say it's harder to get the 15 silvers than the six golds.

I wasn't aware the medical armor was ever good :)

Subtle knife has atl-fire "Invoke". don't know what is it - but it drain 2 of hpmax and may be raise or summon something?
The wiki says it does 10 BFG Plasma damage to all enemies in sight.

Hell's Arena: Not a new special level, but even if only for certain modes (say AoB), add some guaranteed random water generation to help dispose corpses on N!.
I don't think an opinion of the form "make N! easier" is going to get much traction, somehow :)

A thing I just noticed about Iron Skull:

It's actually sane and reasonable on Ao666 (if one admits of Ao666 being sane and reasonable, which is an open question) - it works out as 15 damage per level (well, 15.015... to be precise).

I still think it's a terrible idea and should go :)

Yeah, though it is tempting, I don't try to gain badges in dual angels, since it's bound to get nerfed in the next version it would compel me to reset my stats again, something I don't really want.
I reset my stats every version as a matter of principle; something always changes enough to justify it.

Rename the pistol "revolver", and I'd stop whining about it only accepting six bullets. (A semiauto pistol chambered in 10mm would have at least a ten-shot clip.)

(On a related note, I kinda want a rapid fire angel challenge. Yes, it would be kinda easy.)
It would have more than usually front-loaded difficulty, since shotguns are king (and chainguns are terrible) in the early game.

But we have three explosives masteries - Cateye, Fireangel and presumably Gunrunner! I admit I didn't try Gunrunner yet and don't have much experience with Firangel, since most of my games were in 996 where it was bugged, but Cateye is absolutely perfect for explosives, as long as you can get an infinite supply of rockets.
Gunrunner: run duration increased; when running, moving fires your weapon at the nearest enemy if any are in sight.

It's a terrible match for explosives, but a very good match for the elephant gun basic assembly.

It might be that I got lucky, but I don't think GS is nearly as luck-based as it seems.
In the best case (assuming you skip the Arena), hitting the special levels nets you 17 levers (CC 3, PLab 3, DLab 6, Skulls 1, Limbo 4). In the worst (still assuming you skip the Arena), hitting the special levels nets you four (CC 3, Armory 1).
