Title: For those wondering...
Post by: Thomas on December 15, 2005, 22:47
This, is what a 0% kill count looks like (took me 3 goes to get it, the FH's kept killing themselves!)

Thomas, level 1 soldier, killed by a former human
on level 1 of the Phobos base.
He survived 956 turns and scored 29 points.

He killed 0 out of 6 hellspawn. (0%)
My, was he a wimpy chump.

Now we can have YAWCs! :)

EDIT: I might hold a little YAWC challenge (like the melee one), who can get the furthest without killing anything?

I would be INCREDIBLY SURPRISED if anyone could beat this YAWC. And because I never fired a shot, I can post it on the melee challenge too!

So anyway, if anyone thinks they can beat this, or comes close, please post it.

Oh, cool. (Only just checked forum and wiki now. D'oh.)

Wait, it looks like over 10% of enemies were killed, it doesn't look like a wimpy chump to me. (But you never killed anything... hmm...)

Good lord....you finally did it!
Title: For those wondering...

(Original post deleted)

Wait, it is fake. You can't get to level 20 without seeing more than 350  demons. You apparantly saw 280.

EDIT: Fixed typo. New comment: JimmyJ, why do you keep assuming that all mortems are real?

EDIT 2(I should be a mortem detective): And how can you possibly have 638 brave souls? If you were playing non-YAWCs, this would be believable. But, while doing YAWCS, they don't come up as brave souls, because they aren't highscores.

Post by: Turgor on December 31, 2005, 00:34
doh just noticed mine wasn't a wimpy chump :S
i'll try again and stop trying to get enemies to kill eachother ;)

that level 20, hmmz that is indeed either amazing or just edited. the sheer luck needed to get easy access to stairs in every level is just enormous. also, 283 nemies is suspiciously low.

But he skipped all special rooms like chained court and city of skulls etc...

Interesting point JimmyJ... but I still don't believe him. Even if the demon count might be based on a real mortem.

It may be real by half. What I mean is maybe he saved between every levels, kept his save (copy to another folder) and try ... again, and again... until he got a lucky stairs every level close to him.

Or its fake.. common, its so easy to make a fake mortem.

on level 20 of the Phobos base.
He survived 7018 turns and scored 2920 points.
He killed 10 out...

One of the four boldfaced numers is fake. Which one? I dunno.
Title: For those wondering...
Post by: Anticheese on January 03, 2006, 04:31
Its the 2920, I am fairly sure you only get 100 points per level and if he killed 10 critters only at best I would guess he gets 130 or so points for that.

(The above assuming that the other ones are correct)
Title: For those wondering...
Post by: jake250 on January 03, 2006, 06:21
True I made up to level 10 keeping my save and taking lucky stairs and unless moving give you point, you wont get that much point. So the points are NOT right.

Oooo! Oooo! Pick me! The... uhhh... 20!?

*ahem*

Assuming he did the save for lucky stairs method it is the...

20? No. You can get to level 20 with lucky stairs.
3000? Completely impossible.
7000? Believeable.
10? No. He was going for a YAWC, I guess.

I, mortem detective Thomas, say "DEFINATLY THE 3000 POINTS!" And I have evidence: if you look at my first YAWC in this topic (the one with no kills) you'll see that I got about 30 points over about 1000 turns. Therefor, the turn to point ratio is about 400:1. If this is true, then 210 of the 3000 points he got are from his turns. And you don't get 2790 points just by killing a few little monsters. (Any YAWCer knows that 2 humans will die on level 1 unless you're REALLY being careful) <- That means that at least 1 or 2 were former humans. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get that many points in a 10-death YAWC.

Am I right Kornel? (Well I just proved I was, but I want confirmation)
