I must say, Max Carnage on Nightmare is much more easier then I thought it would be, and after getting ammochain, I pretty much on hitted everything expect Viles.
But then Anachnotrons.. Thise guys are gona give me nightmares.. The damage they deal is just insane on Max Carnage.
Also there were 4 uniques in a row, but I didn't have the time when I had to make a swift escape on level 16 to find the one on that level, with my luck it was probably BFG10k.
Eitherway, I'm gona be trying this again untill I get it.

Discussion / Ammochain slightly overpowered?

So as I've been playing this new version and tried out the master traits.. This ammochain one has started to trouble me a bit.
Now don't get me wrong, endless ammo is always awesome for chainguns, but the fact that it effects the plasma gun is making me feel its overpowered.
Earlier plasmagun was one of those precious weapons, you didn't want to waste its ammo until emergencies, you probably wouldn't use it on anything lower then baron. Now with ammochain, you can basicly spam up plasmagun on everything. Specialy since you can chainfire it, this is basicly making even Archvile & Revenant packs a joke.
Basicly, all you ever need is two agility mods (chained court), plasmagun and ammochain and you've basicly won the game unless RNG puts a heavy suprise on you.
The blocked traits don't either give much negative on this trait, why need accuracy or armor when you can just mod those up and your enemies can't even get a good chance to shoot you?

Okay Kornel, since when have Revenant and Archviles started to run away and shoot?
Anyway, this was a pretty succesfull run, mostly due of butchers cleaver and the nanopack. Now I happened to notice that LS alt fire DOES NOT work on the side vaults. I did clear the left one and the middle one but then I ran out. Also the berserk seems to active more often then on 9.8 in here.. Was pretty pleasant suprise. And blademaster made lost souls a joke.
I can't believe how many uniques I got in this round.. Seriously. Too bad this was Berserking.
Eitherways, was a pretty fun run and I'm planning to try this again on UV later on once I get that unlocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------Just another attempt of beating Nightmare with marksmanship... However I was rather suprised I actually won!
When I first started out this round, it was allready going to hell, literally. Had very scarce health, no healthpacks anywhere, and very little powerups.. I was suprised I got to the chained court that way. However, afterwards I started to find a lot of berserks and invulnerabilities! Beeing rather invicible I stormed through most of the levels before hell levels and racked up some levels. Once I got TaN and Soab maxed out, I didn't have much trouble anymore even though health still was scarce.
Even though the few end levels had some pack of Viles, I'm just glad there's always lava to trap em with. :D
So overall, I got rather lucky in this run. Even though two uniques spawned in during the time, I never had the chance to actually find them, as they spawned in rather bad levels. Another one was in a barrel level and another in a maze.

Okay then, I've never had sucha a great game as I just now had.
So here I was, trying to see if I can beat Angol of 100 on Ultra violence again and rack up 100% kills.
This had a very promising start, finding the blaster and then the necroarmor! With this combo I really didn't have much room to lose at all. And as you can see, I racked up a lot of kills, to be honest, I was just sweeping kills like they were hay.
After I found Grammaton Cleric Beretta, I was pretty much one hitting barons with dual gunner.
I was un stoppable. Taking very little damage, and dealing out even more!
However, things went wrong in the level 90. Too many Anachnotrons and Barons with big dash of Mancubi, started to seriously chew my health packs, and at level 91, I had no health packs at all, to make it worse it was a Kheheheh this will be a mess level! But then I saw one after blowing up big bunch of barrels to clear enemies from the middle room. Tried to rush to it with like 5% hp left and then.. Aaarchvile! And I died to its instant hit.
Must say, blaster gotta be the best weapon ever, it seriously made the pain elemental caverns a cake walk and the fact you save a lot of ammo for health packs made everything so much easier. Not to mention the fire rate and damage once you soab and soag up.
But yeah, I hope I'll find blaster again if I ever try this again.

So I decided to start this run like any Marksman ship run, just beeing plain carefull and all that. My actual motive was to rack up Mancubus kills.
Now at the start I didn't have much hope for this as most of my U Marksman runs usualy end after chained court. I however, happened to find a damage mod the level after! And few levels later, another one! And then a 3rd one.. Now as I was able to rack up 3 damage mods, full Soab and SoG I pretty much had the feeling that there's no way I could lose this, I mean even Barons start to fly like 1 - 2 squares on each hit! An I kind of didn't, even though I failed to find any uniques. D:
However, as I got into hell levels, I ran into trouble at the three last levels as before hand I had killed about everything in my way. There was a cave level.. Full of pain elementals. Now this was just evil, drowning in lost souls, wasting a lot of ammo, I decided to homing phase the level and skip it. The next one was a cave again! This time full of anachnotrons. No trouble, I'll just shoot them all as there was an invulnerability orb there aswell. But then the horror, I ran out of ammo! So I rushed to the lava pits as it was closer then the regular exit when the invul was running out. I then exited out of there aswell imidiatly even thoug there was something really valuable there.
The last level before the Cyberdemon was a regular room maze level. Luckily I found a captain! Closing in and... Archvile, Baron, revenant.. ._. so much for killing that guy. I started spamming around with regular phase devices and desperatly search for the exit. I found it and I was forced to Nuke the Cybie.
Even though I wanted to pistol the Cybie, I'm pretty happy though as this success threw me to Colonel Rank beeing my first Ultra violence win, and to Hell Knight rank aswell! So now I'm only 20.000 kills from Baron rank and only needing that Nightmare! win for the General.

uhhh.. yeah that type of a crash. Never happened to me before.
Played on the version 09-8-10, windows version.
This happened on Angel of Pacifist Nightmare run for additional info.

--------------------------------------------------------------Here I go, storming through the levels using mostly shotgun and chaingun attempting to get 100% kill and maximun HP possible. Having trouble with ammo for having too many healthpacks I decide to storm the Wall... Which after I had too much ammo and very little health as I wasn't able to take out all the Vile's in time ruining mah 100% kills.
So I just continue finding more health which runs out by the level 17 which started by a nice pack of hell knights and a baron just north of the spawn spot! Barely surviving I have 2% HP left, so I climb to the north and try carefully find health..!
...
And then I get killed by an imp, how humiliating. D:
