I saw the mortem, and wondered "What ? a chainsaw ? So lucky...". Realizing it couldn't be sheer luck, I decided to launch the game, just to check that AoB + AoOc starts with a chainsaw... and here's the result :p

And thats what I got.
Holy hell trying to survive as a berserker AND to get those levels is a real pain when you start in the Hell right away.
So many times I just look inside a room to see archviles and revenants in a large pack and then benny hill chasing musics starts when I slam the door shut and try get away from them.
I never even expected to win this game, but I did manage to find a invulnerability in hell level 2.. 1+1 = berserker trait in no time.
The mortuary? This was a tough one. It was either that or the cave full of spiders. I figured mortuary is the lesser of two evils cause I don't plasma baths. So quick visit to say nope and then I got the hell away from there.
I managed to somehow survive the visit, even though I was a bouncing ball for revenants and archviles for quite a while. Even though berserk isn't as good as it used to be, I still was quite the damage sponge. Those super charges and red armors helped too.

And then spider master mind was a total pushover. Flinch? What.
Last time I got to the spider as meelee build in 9.6.6 it shred me to pieces this time around it just tried to run away like a wuss and kept flinching.
The heck is up with that? I wanted atleast a little challenge for a final boss.

The spider here shot at that barrel for so many volleys I lost count. And then I had to stop when the imp became to be a party pooper.
Yet it did not blow up. I'm pretty sure it should've blown up already ages ago.

N! diffuculty, dual angel with over confident and berserk, marine build.

I've met DS several times and I can tell you that these do not work on picking it up:

-Both hands free
-Low health
-No armor
-100% kills
-Overhealed
-While berserk with none or one or more of the above

and honestly I'm thinking the new way of picking it up is something super simple that I am hoping to test next time around I see it, which is pretty much to try the "use" button instead of 'pick it up' button. Doubt it will work but hey who knows.
Too bad it has appeared in ages for me.

Though honestly, I am more interested on seeing it with the combination of berserk armor. I don't think anyone has yet done a game with both of them weilded yet?

You know firestorm is kind of "EH" on the mods compared to the other rares.

Buffing it on weapons though is pretty hard, in my opinion it is pretty nice on rapid fire.. But otherwise? really situational, you rarely want more splash as it destroys items.
Few ideas though:
-On Rapid fires, make it so that the extra shots provided by firestorm are not drawn from the weapons clip. If you're gonna shoot a bigger volley, why not get a bit of extra on top? Simple, ammo efficient and desirable.
-On Explosive: Make it the damage buffer same way that the bulk mod effects meelee weapons. Give more raw power on them. Make it a real storm.
-It could also have some sort of effects on pistols and shotguns? It could give double shotguns more pellets per shot, this would make it really desirable for a double shotty user. +1 additional spread on other shotguns? No idea here really.
No idea how it should effect pistols though. Maybe make it a combination of tech and power mod for pistols or something in same way? Though it could be bit OP for pistols then.

The fire resistance on armors sounds like a lovely idea. Make it effect boots too so we can get some more out of plasteels? :P

Wouldn't mind a rapid fire dual weild for that feel of old classic action movies.
Two shotguns probably wouldn't work but one could.
Jackhammer + Railgun dual fire, you're welcome.




Though the thing is, it could be bit hard to make work out well, as a master trait it could work. I'd imagine it to chew a lot of ammo.
Only real penalty I can think of is to dodge and knockback, maybe to resistances.
Firing two guns should leave you quite open for enemies afterall.

How about instead of increasing knockback, make it increase the resistance values when used on armor.
Because face it, you have pretty much no reasonings to use tech mod on armor unless you got absolutely nothing else to use it on or are trying to make an assembly. Knockback resistance just isn't that good for non meelees.
Resistance increase could be very worthwhile investment to consider for armors.

Considering the randomness of Ao100 the word earn doesn't sound right..
Random enemy that gives you a soul to save with that is hard to kill?
Kill em all that can be very troublesome in later levels where you need this? 
Pull a lever in a gasoline smell level?
"oh great stair gods please accept my offering of large-medpack/exotic/unique?"

ofcourse if it really is that big of issue to limit it, just give a flat set amount of saves to use from the start, use em all and no more saves.

I'm gonna give my opinion on this:

Normal N! games do not need save feature, you should be able to handle 25 levels in one sitting.

However..
I do think that Ao100 and the varitations could seriously do with save feature on N!.
Grinds are not fun in one run, people need to have breaks every now and then.
No, leaving your computer running/leaving the program running in the background is not a valid solution, that just hogs resources for nothing.

Remember, this is a video game for gods sake, challenge and fun are what you're most likely playing this for, the latter being a bigger thing.
Unable to save does not fall under either gategory. It's just bad design taking note for the length.

The thing is: Once you get dual gunner going, the AoMR gets relativly easy.
Before that it can be a struggle to get the game going.

As long as you now how to scout shoot well and can keep your ammo reserve up, you should have no trouble once you get your Soag to 3 and some finesse to maximize your firing speed.
The shooting speed with pistol builds can be absolutely devastating to pretty much everything. You'll pretty much be pumping your whole clip to an enemy before they get a chance to move.

So I've been trying out overconfidence for the last bits in different ways, as this is a pretty amusing challenge.
Doing it the normal way however is bit boring when you can just SoAB up and then assault shotgun is unfair to the poor archviles and revenants.

So I tried meelee and suddenly this wasn't as boring, infact, this has been very frustating. So many runs just easily ended with archvile or mancubi coming to the sights.

Then there was this run where RNG blessed me with a first level having invulnerability and berserk pack. With that I easily got to level 3 in the first level, and the next following levels werent so bad as Berserk keeps on triggering when you get hit by a mancubi once.

Finally got to the dis, berserk still on, feeling confident. However, spider was no where in sight! Ran out of it, then I finally saw it ran to it and tried to get a berserk going.
I find out that the little spiders meelee hits harder than expected the hard way. The first hit wasn't even that bad, then suddenly BOOM. about 40% off in one hit and DEAD.

Shame really, this could've been a glorious meelee overconfidence victory.
Oh well, back to the old drawing board.
