This is much easier than AoB (it took me quite a few trys to get the lvl 15 for the unlock, is it just me or does berzerker not work right?)
I found the 1st arena early but the second one was deep in hell so I phased. Badass is more important than Ironman if you ask me. But as I said, this was only my 1st try at AoPc but I'll take my 1st gold badge.

Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 1 souls claim to have killed him...

I had just unlocked this mode an hour ago (I made a pass at max carnage 1st), and yes this is only my second win (the other was ammochain so nothing special...)RNG was quite kind, stairs near each other, only 2 arena levels and before the hellgate I got Onyx armor and a power mod 7 spaces away.
I rode the berserk from chained court for 4 levels, and later in hell a pair of inv globes for 3 more.
The hardest part (other than the Mortuary of course) was lvl 3, the stairs were guarded by 4 sergeants and I only had HR-1. I had to bate them away with some ammo and loop around.
The hellgate was fun, I hit run just before the 1st wave and forgot to close the door behind me. When I hit the 2nd wall some cacodeamon blasts knocked me forward and the bros blasted each other while I ran away.
I only went to the Mortuary because the normal stairs were blocked by an ocean of lava. I thought I was dead but I used a Agility mod on a red armor and dove in. I grabbed a super-charge and ran for the upper-left. I used 3 large med kits and had the armor blown off me but I made it under the cover took the other super-charge and med kit and ran.
Honestly I think this is one of the easiest modes. The free levels that make it fair make it far easier than any of the other challenges.

Thanks for the tip with the power mod. I took as many shells as I could from the halls but it wasn't enough... I was honestly hoping for explorer not YAAM (I don't have any wins yet), Ironman was taken because I was low on health towards the lower levels.

It started great for a shotgun run. I had a combat shotgun and blue armor by lvl 3 so I used it and 3 of my med kits (bad luck with spawning...) to get the arena's double shotgun. next floor I got a power mod for it so it was easy going for a while.
Spent 3 phase devices trying to get behind the wall (I had a homing one for the escape) but no such luck.
Cleared the Halls just for fun getting basass before I left with all the ammo I could carry.
Here my luck took a turn for the worse, I didn't see another sargent after the hellgate and by 18 my ammo was running short.
19 was very of lucky, 3 Inv globes near the spider lair so I went down and killed the spiders WITH MY FISTS (I'm as shocked as you) and got the nuke.
On 20 there were 3 arch-viles and a few mancubi, I spent most of my shells killing the viles and the last mancubus knocked me to 1% so I fired the nuke.
Somehow I found FOUR BFGs and gothic boots (holding for the lava pits) but no other specials.
