As most of us know, ChaosForge runs on the donations of the donators and supporters. Kornel has been thinking about Chaosforge-themed merchandise on and off, and so we now have this thread to bring up ideas for merch that folks want to see. Some ground rules:

- Suggestions should not infringe third party Intellectual Property
- Suggestions should be produceable at reasonable cost
- If suggestions include designs made by poster, it is understood that the poster has given the rights of reproduction of the design in the Chaosforge merch should it be used
- All decisions of what merch suggestion to take up will lie solely with Kornel himself

I was berserked under the influence of the berserk globe, but when I picked up some other globe (like the armour shard or the tracking map), berserk mode was cleared.

I think I saw quite a few interesting hybrid builds, and so I decided to try it for myself. Was gunning for MVm while using shotguns for the long range fighting; even managed to clear the UC on this round of AoRA.And then I stood next to a barrel, and the !@#$ Revenant launched a rocket at me. Bye bye AoRA run. Sad thing is, just look at the number of large med packs there are. Just look at 'em...
I think I'm traumatised now... T_T

Requests For Features / Text Export Mechanism for player.wad and scores.wad

Just the ability to export the said data into text form for bragging rights/sharing with folks who don't have DoomRL installed.
It is not necessary to have an import function. The output can just be text, or with coloured HTML. Personally, I think that the normal text output would be sufficient. The format can follow the usual screens that are used to display the information in-game.

--------------------------------------------------------------What began as a YAAM run on ITYTD with pistols became the most awesome win I've ever had in a while.I started with the usual set up for a single pistol run. Then I found a Butcher's Cleaver and took it up, just for fun. On level 8, I found the Grammaton Cleric Beretta and got really excited: single pistol run with the GCB? Hells yes! So I moved along killing things with the amazing single shot mode of the GCB. And then a miracle.

I nearly crapped my pants there. I was on my way to an awesome single pistol build and then this. I prayed for the right conditions to exist, and my prayers were answered.
From then on, I became a walking dealer of death. I didn't abandon my YAAM dream -- I just made it into a game of Pure Over Kill.
And as if to insult Cybie more, the RNG decided to give me Malek's Armour at the last possible moment. That was just the icing on the cake.
And Cybie died with 3 hits. And I got my YAAM. Yay random bronze badge! =D

We need one more way of distinguishing the elite from the Über-elite. In the cases of the Medals, the Cross versions are often the highest, in celebration of a particular achievement of skill.
But let's up the ante higher. For each of these types of medals, let there be a trophy for the champion of champions. And what are the conditions, you may ask. Achieving the near impossible by performing the cross requirements at N! AoMC, a true test of tactics, since the elements of the RNG are all but eliminated.

--------------------------------------------------------------After dying many times on N! AoPc, I took it down several notches and humbly began an AoPc game on HNTR. And as luck would have it, I survived to tell the tale! A true morale booster indeed.
I think the RNG is trying to teach me a karmic lesson: one should learn to walk before one learns to fly.
Maybe I should go for more of the HNTR stuff and build the badge count just like how I did nearly two years ago -- bit by bit.

And here it begins all over again, a new doomguy in a new (and greatly changed!) version of DoomRL. Like all my first games, this one was a pistol build, but unlike most of my pistol games, I went for not MGK. The results are surprising -- I can kill things a little more, and that instant reload thing that MGK provides is not really missed, since I can take a couple of levels of Rel to clean that up. I was sort of going for DM towards the end so that I can fight Cybie, but the Trigun in the vaults made me thank the RNG in gratitude and just beelined towards Level 25. And then, YAVP. =DIt's going to be a looong time before I reclaim my Br General rank from ground zero. =P

This should be straightforward. Can we extend the screenshot capturing abilities (F9 and F10 keys by default) to work with all other screens in DoomRL? This can be useful in showing the epicness of one's inventory, for example, or to show off some statistics of DoomGuy from the '@' screen.
For screenshots that are not part of a game, maybe we can just label them by date and time, skipping out the name component.

So sergeants scare us in many ways, whether we are playing a melee game, or a pacifist game. Actually, they are scary because they always hit.
So here's the deal. Make some small number of sergeants be armed with combat shotguns, and give them the ability to "hunt" the player, i.e. perform an actual A*-like search to seek the player out in order to shoot him. This should add a little more variety to the Undead Army Corp.
I mean, sergeants should be cranky enough to go Doomguy hunting on his own, right?

8 showed that it can outsmart hell itself.
--------------------------------------------------------------Well this run was quite a doozy. I only did it to clear the final silver badge that I'm missing, i.e. clearing the Lava Pits.It's quite a scary run, like usual, I play the dodge game early in the game, beelining for MAD by building defensive followed by offensive. After finding the Revenant's Launcher, I decided that no Hell Barons are going to pwn me, and thus that became me Baron pwner -- I love the sweet 7d6 damage and nice reload time from 2xReloader due to MAD. Malek's Armour came a little too late, but whatever -- speed boost from that and the Tactical Boots make life a little easier to bear especially in the pits. Notice the distinct lack of Arch-Viles in the kill list? I have no idea how that happened. Since this is effectively a buggy version (Beta 4 after all), some save-scumming was performed to make sure I don't puke too much blood -- I've done so for quite a few times when it hung unnecessarily, forcing an abandon without any cause.
Also, why does the Invulnerability Globe not heal in AoMs like in the description? I hope it is merely a bug in the beta and not a new "feature"... >.<

Plenty of small med kits, health globes meant I could spam the running ability as much as I could to eke out that little bit of speed that I need since I don't have HR. Oh, and a healthy sprinkling of Invulnerability globes and berserk pack helped a mighty lot too!I'm going to saviour my new rank for a while and play more easy games while I let the RNG reset its benevolence with me.

On level 14 he ventured into the Halls of Carnage.
On level 15 he encoutered the Phobos Hellgate.
On level 18 he entered the Vaults.
He came, he saw, but he left.
On level 20 he found the Railgun (8d8) [40/40]!
On level 23 he assembled a chainsword!
On level 23 he entered the Lava Pits.
He managed to clear the Lava Pits completely!
Then at last he found Phobos Arena!
On level 25 he finally defeated the Cyberdemon.

And 17 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.
Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 33 souls claim to have killed him...
10 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.

--------------------------------------------------------------I came, I saw, it crashed multiple times, I saved moving machines, and finally I conquered. DG was gotten really late because I was relying on hiding around corners and saving ammunition, swapping between my two awesome pistols. Yes I cleared the Halls of Carnage, but dropped my BFG9000 accidentally into lava while tinkering with my inventory.This is in vengeance to the loss YAFW in the last run, where after defeating The True Evil, it crashed, without having a save file.
That said, I am strongly in favour of altering the conditions for the Gatekeeper Diamond Badge -- have it be at least HMP+ or something as a minimum difficulty requirement.
