But what about other stuff? You know, say, the tower shield. The tower shield is actually to be HELD, not worn. So, maybe, you could put it in your "prepared" slot instead of you?

I was just thinking that some things could be improved in DoomRL to make it more realistic.

You know how the minigun has like a 3.5 second reload time? It wouldn't make sense that it would take 3.5 seconds to reload 10 bullets if you pressed "r" after you fired one volley and 3.5 seconds to reload the entire 200 bullet clip.

That's just a thing I noticed. Couldn't things have scaleable reload times? Like, make it quicker to reload small ammounts of ammo than huge clips all at once?

Also, who doesn't think that tactical armor should have it's 1 protection and at least 10% bullet/shrapnel resistance back?

Well, actually, I made cerberus boots because of the lava. Paired with the onyx armor, my move speed is 1.63 sec, so maybe antigrav boots might not be a bad idea!

Man, you have cerberus boots and ballistic onyx armor??? Why not make cerberus onyx armor, and grav boots? That would have made you nigh unstoppable.

Any tips on dealing with Achlyses, especially on higher levels, when I don't have the luxury of killing them one by one? I'm trying to complete Inferno with a Technician - MEn build because I love the survivability it gives against nastier enemies (Revenants, Viles, Mancubi, etc), but Achlys attacks go through all armor and resistances and I can't defend against them at all.

Achlyses are really poorly armored against my assault chaingun. I have EagleEye 2 and SoB 2. Plasma also works wonders!

Fully restores HP and repairs Armor... but causes random teleporting (every 20 seconds, you randomly teleport to one tile within basic vision range (that is, before light-amp or cateye))

Actually, it's not only that you become immune to knockback. It's more like you're some kind of immovable fortress with enough dakka to obliterate whatever's near you.

BTW, is the gothic armour set actually good for anything? I only managed to get both pieces recently and... it was funny. I was thinking that maybe the lack of mobility would be offset by some bonus to resistances or armour (great for entrenched technicians, I think) but I didn't notice anything like that.

Yes. When you wear the Gothic Armor AND the Gothic Boots, you become immune to knockback and you can't move. You're like a turret. I think that the message is something like "You can't move!" or something.

Why not make a "tactical suit"?

Like, if you wear tac armor, boots, shotgun, and rocket launcher, you'll get a +1 protection to armor and boots?
