I have noticed (while trying to complete Phobos Base Entry on HMP AoMC) a Really Unpleasant Thing about cornershooting: It appears that transparent walls are ignored by the line-of-fire selector, so you can't use trees as shelters to cornershoot from.

Any good tips on a class / build / approach for HNTR Angel of Marksmanship on 0.9.9.7? (Assume HNTR for now; the thought of trying to burn through 360hp worth of UV Cybie with pistols is giving me the fear.)
I'm thinking Scout may be the way to go; Marine seems to suck for pistols.

It would be really nice if Son of a Gun had a different name. One that didn't begin with "Son of a". It's a bit of a user-interface fail.

Bug Reports / Crash at end of Dead Simple (zero kills) [0997 C Win]

After a failed attempt at Dead Simple in the Windows console version of 0.9.9.7, in which I died without killing any of the monsters, I got an access violation crash on the mortem screen.

OK, so we all know Max Carnage is easier than Standard, but given I have a better record on Angel of Berserk than on Standard, it was pretty gratifying for me.
Observations/comments:
Int 2 is crazy overpowered, especially on AoMC. I can see an argument for saying it should disqualify you from rewards based on damage avoidance.
Military Base, "amusingly", provides worse equipment rewards on HNTR than on ITYTD, because the commandos are replaced with low-end elites, meaning no plasma rifles.
I cleared Limbo, but was standing on a staircase island when I finished off the viles. Given I was wearing Tactical Boots and had no envirosuit packs left, dashing across the lava was not going to happen, so no Angelic Armor for me.
The double shotty and power mod were in my bag on the off chance that Hell 7 would spawn a sniper pack and let me finish off Technician Gold.

Bug Reports / [0.9.9.6G] Graphical movement lag unacceptable

Doomguy moves from tile to tile slower than my fingers move from movement key to movement key, and I cannot find a configuration option to make him not do so.
This renders the graphical version unplayable for me, I'm afraid.

Having played around a (very small) bit with running MAc builds in 0.9.9.3, I have a suspicion that on ITYTD, not only is MAc no longer the lowest-skill-required master trait build (MAD builds are less demanding to play, especially if you start off TaNx2 Bad), I'm not even convinced it has a lower skill requirement than MVm.
How's it holding up at the higher difficulties where health isn't in such ridiculously profuse supply?

Proposal: The lab cache modpacks should always be of theoretically useful types e.g. no sniper packs on AoSh or AoB.

Just idly wondering (while I debate whether a Trigun find on level 3 is a sign that I should do a pistols game or just a way to save bag space on nukes) what everyone else's most common exotic (tie between medical armour/gothic boots) and random-drop uniques (tie between Trigun and Hellwave Pack (!)) are.

Not sure whether I should put this as "wishlist-rank bug" or "feature request", so I'll go with feature request for now.
Mancubus rank seems like it's at the wrong point in the progression. Mancubi are unquestionably nastier (and, importantly, deeper-spawning) than Hell Knights, and arguably nastier than Barons, so it seems odd to have to get past Mancubus rank to reach Hell Knight rank.

I like 0.9.9.2 a lot. Bug fixes, yay! Shiny new features, yay! (I'd like it better if I could find a damn Nano pack, but never mind :)
However, one thing really winds me up:
The weakspots on the Vaults got moved. I can't see any good reason for this.

Bug Reports / [0.9.9.2] AoPc + failed full win = no Pacifism Gold

I can't remember whether this was declared to be Not A Bug back in 0.9.9.1, so: a "failed full win" death doesn't qualify for Pacifism Gold (or Compet-n / Icarus crosses). If this isn't a bug, perhaps it should go in a "this is not a bug even though you think it is" sticky, along with a similar note regarding Compet-n and Icarus awards. (The event is logged as a Standard Win on your character sheet.)
