Title: (0.9.9) *bug* See enemies out of LOS
Post by: Brothers.Imp on October 21, 2009, 13:33
Anyways, last night I was playing v0.9.9 (Thank you, Kornel!) on WinXP and I noticed that when I was firing around blind corners I could determine the location of enimies out of my line of sight.  If I moved my target selector past where I thought the badie was, the monster would appear as a missing asterix in my line of fire.

*edit*

Perhaps I spoke too soon, I can't get this bug to reproduce either.  I tried again last night...  I did notice that *sometimes* the targeting system seems to remember targets you can't see.

I can't see how this would happen, as the "firing line", if you will, takes priority with what you see on screen.

Puzzled, I am. Try, I shall.

(No more Yoda impressions for me :\ )

UPDATE: As I said I would, I tried this, yet it didn't work.. Post a screenshot. Not an BB Code one, but a proper Alt+PrtSc image. This really has got me confused.. D:

Were you using chainfire?  Chainfire marks the screen in an unusual way to show you which direction you just fired at...

But if you were firing at targets that weren't visible, chainfire wouldn't even function, hmmm...

Okay, here it is. There was an imp right there in the hole in the targeting...

Since I was in the targeting menu I had to minimize and take a windows screenshot
