As you know, the requirements for getting higher Destroyer Badges include getting "Untouchable Badge/Medal/Cross",
which are prohibited on Angel of Confidence/Overconfidence.
However, Destroyer badges CAN be acquired via mixing it with AoCn/AoOC.

(Interesting thing is that Untouchable Cross medal itself was NOT acquired in that run)
So, the requirements for Destroyer Badges should prohibit mixing AoCn/AoOC.
I think then nobody could get Destroyer Diamond legitimately in later versions, but, anyways.

Sereging is something that is not well studied. Many have raised this as a bug, but for now, it's a "feature".
Dual angels were added late in the 0.9.9.7 development cycle and so their testing was sub-par.
But your observations have been noted and we'll think about how to make use of them. =)

Apparently, for the purpose of Destroyer badges, the game checks for damage received rather than for the Untouchable Badge/Medal/Cross themselves, without regard for AoCn/AoOC.
Word goes that the devs plan to fix dual angels so that Sereging is no longer possible (or viable) in 0.998 :( ...

In ages past, when someone was given a military rank in order to fill a position who may not have actually earned that rank they were 'breveted'. So someone could be a Captain but also a Brevet Major or Brevet Colonel, etc.
I vote that badges earned through AoCN/AoOC be 'Sereged'. They DONT count for progression but get a different highlighting on the character screen and a mention on the mortem. i.e. 'Sereg Destroyer Platinum'

More badges whose requirements that SHOULD prohibit mixing AoCn/AoOC:
Pacifist Gold (Win Angel of Pacifism within 10 minutes)
Everyman Platinum (Win Angel of Humanity as Conqueror)
Everyman Diamond (Win Angel of Humanity on Ultra-Violence as Conqueror)
Also, here are badges that mixing AoCn/AoOC makes much easier - or mislead originally intended challenge :
Berserker Platinum
Shottyman Platinum
Longinus Platinum
Berserker Diamond
Shottyman Diamond
Longinus Diamond
(Umm, but actually, I think it is not that bad to allow mixing AoCn/AoOC for these ones)
