Sorry I haven't posted anything this month, it hasn't been a good one for my family and I.

I hate to say it, but my uncle took his life back on the 10th, so I've be out of it.

Sorry about bringing it up, and I'll try to think of some ideas to try and distract my mind from what's going on and get back on track here.

The hair looks wonderful!  And he has arms of steel to fire at full-auto without the butt in his shoulder.  =D

I am rather disturbed at the feet of the red demon on the other end though...

"Arms of steel" you say? Just goes to show you how BADASS he is.
(Don't ask how much gel he has in his hair though to keep it in place.)

As for the demon, remember that in the movie the hostiles were once human.

Here's something that I knocked out this week using a helmet/hud setup.  Couldn't help myself and rendered from doomguy's pov.

Here's my latest experiments in rendering. Been working like heck on this months entry so that's why I haven't been around.

P.S. Happy Holidays everyone.

Here's what I entered last month. Was out rendered once more, but at least I'm trying and learning new things.

Thought that I'd share my first render with a new character I got this week. (The new guy is the demon.)

Just found out that I was out rendered once more last month, so here they are for your viewing delight.

Here's my first project which I titled "The One Easy Day... Was Yesterday."

And this is my second project titled "No Plan Survives First Contact With The Enemy."

Woah man... all that shadow and fog... I dig it!

Fog's really hard to get right though...  =/

If you liked those last two laptop, then get a load of my attempt at back lighting our brother in arms.

I've officially entered both my renders for this month's contest, and will be sharing them with all of you once I know the results.  Until then, if I have any ideas for here I'll be messing with those.

Ooo... shiny!

I think shadows are your weak points.  With many of your renders, you often have more than one light source, but the shadows don't seem to match up well.

Sometimes when I look at a render, my eyes detect that something is "missing" when my brain cannot really say why.

But... don't be discouraged!  I still like your renders!  They have a tendency to play with space a lot -- contrasting between narrow spaces with the wide in a way that is terrifying/dynamic.  =D

Thanks for the encouragement laptop.  I'm trying to make use of shadows more for this month's contest to create 'Atmosphere'.

Was out rendered once more last month, but I learned quite a bit about using DoF, so I'll probably start to use it more around here.  Here's my entry BTW.
