Announcements / Forum Upgrades

I've added a few upgrades to our forum. Out of those the most notable are the "Members List" (see above), and "Online Guest counter".  Also I wonder wether to add more functionality... the ones I currently think about is a enchanced statistics page, and a poll system.

That still would reduce the pace I'm afraid. Anyway, both the methods combined would be more fair. I'll think about it. Maybe I'll introduce them only in special level types.

Yea. Combat knife plus the time to switch it vs. Point Blank range with the pistol plus more damage. Throwing it out to the trash or making tactical advantages with the use of the knife could help.

I use a similar program ;-). You don't think I've drawn all those monsters by hand, do you? I only made corrections to the generated images, and then hand coloured them.

Well, my provider is a computer in my friends room -- and considering that that friend won the 5th place (Sliver Medal) in World ACM Programming Competition in Shanghai I'm sure he's done all he can to configure his server to be as fast as possible :-/

No there isn't. Most people agree that manualy reloading increases the gameplay value :-). Also auto-reload could become a source of YASDs...

P.S. Welcome :-). Here nobody will treat you ill, unless you start asking for a savegame feature for DoomRL :-P

Well neither do I because of the same reason... in the early design stages of DoomRL there was the idea. But seeing how little people use close range weapons that would render the chainsaw completely useless :-P
