How I see the problem.

Defenses:
- Active (Unreliable, it's an all or nothing type of defense most of the time, emphasis on the nothing)
- Passive (You'll always take some hits with this defense, they just won't hurt you much, reliable, mows down on your medkits/armors a bit compared to tactical)
- Tactical (If you're in control, you'll prevent most attacks, If you get surrounded/surprised you're in trouble)

Balance wise, Tactical and Passive are ok, while Active defense is clearly the underdog. I would improve dodging a bit:

Dodging works like this (as i see it/made-up numbers):

Whenever a ranged attack is used, the game checks for dodging (let's say it rolls 1d100 against the dodge chance)
(let's say dodge chance = 40%)
IF 1d100>40 then the shot isn't dodged and hits the marine normally.
IF 1d100<40 then the shot is dodged and heads to the position the target was on the previous turn.
If you're moving sideways to the trajectory, you're ok... If you moved parallel to the shot, you get hit. If you fired/reloaded/etc., you get hit.

What I would propose would be:
(let's say dodge chance = 40%)
IF 1d100+40<100 No dodge
IF 100<1d100+40<130 Dodge1 -> shot moves to target's previous position
IF 130<1d100+40>160 Dodge2 -> shot moves to target's position from 2 turns ago
IF 160<1d100+40 Dodge3 -> shot moves to target's position from 3 turns ago

At high dodge chances this would enable you to get things done between shots and even dodge BoH Splash damage, Rev/Vile attacks at times.

Regarding Master traits:
- MAD is very good compared to DM mainly because the Double Shotgun can't dish out enough pain at close range. If it could MAD wouldn't be such a no-brainer.
- MAc, great for people who don't want ammo concerns. IF not for the 2 guaranteed Agiltiy mods on the Chained Courts this wouldn't be so dominant.
- FireAngel, funny how the mother of all Active defenses blocks Hellrunner.
- Blademaster and Vampyre even themselves out, although Blademaster has some advantage.
- GunKata is somewhat fun, although you might miss some firepower on higher difficulties.
- CatEye is a well-known trait but i think the requirements/blocks are wrong. Could be made more versatile.

Which ones are impossible?
UAC Diamond - My best time on N! ever was just under 18m, with a Butcher's Cleaver on lvl2. To be able to shave 3 min off that would require epic RNG intervention.
Strongman / Demonic - I still haven't suceeded on a fist run even on HMP, haven't really tried hard either, but can't really see this happening.
Marksman - I don't know how doable this would be with an early unique. Still wouldn't be easy.
Centurial Diamond - Same as UAC, might be possible with an early Cleaver. Still 60 min for 100 levels averages at 36s/lvl. (No Chained Courts and you can't just enter a special level and leave)
Longinus Diamond - Considering the AoD's Hp on Nightmare! you'd need epic RNG intervention. Even 2 Zerk packs near the entrance might be insufficient.

I think it's this, but Kornel should give you the numbers if anything's missing.

Brigadier General - Requires 4 platinum, 1 diamond.

Lieutenant General - Requires 8 platinum, 3 diamond.

General - Requires 10 platinum, 4 diamond.

Marshal - Requires 12 platinum, 5 diamond.

Legend - Requires 7 diamond

Blade - Requires 10 diamond

God hand - Requires 15 diamond

Do you think you can achieve the remaining diamonds?
There are 3 or 4 I got my eye on, however there are others I think are virtually impossible.

Check attachment. I don't consider Longinus Diamond since it was acquired when it could still be nuked.

Edit: Just noticed I got Quartermaster Diamond when it was bugged also. This challenge is quite doable though. So make that 8/19.

Actually I'm at 9/19 Diamond, but each new badge now takes a lot of planning/luck to achieve.
Blade = 10 Diamond Badges
God hand = 15 Diamond Badges (Yeah right... :P)

I played way too much DoomRL during the holidays :P.

What I wanna know is how did you get to clevel 18, as rescumming no longer works...O_o

And how do you clear the mort on N! anyway?
I'm not sure about this, but i think the required xp for high levels got lowered since 0.9.8.10. Anyway do notice I visited and cleared everything except AoD and Lava Pits (no envirosuits).

Clearing Mortuary is the same as clearing the Arena. The respawns are extremely random, sometimes you have to kill the same monster 3 times on a row, sometimes 6+ monsters get rezzed together, sometimes hardly anything gets rezzed.
How are respawning enemies handled?

Does a revived enemy count as another enemy for both killing and being left alive?
This. Even if you don't care about chasing the respawns, you'll get 75%+ just by 'clearing' the level.

On a side note, Ammochain is clearly the best trait for UV+... there's barely anything a Plasma Rifle A2 can't handle.

Cybernetic Armor + Onyx pack is absolutely ridiculous. Other than that I spent a VERY LONG time in the Mortuary until I got it cleared (respawns on top of respawns). Well i actually needed it for the kill count so I think it went rather well.

Given how I vex him when I decide to play with the Bee Bee Gun and the Phase Pistol, it's... justified, to say the least.

@Dervis: What's wrong with DR 10?
Unique armor + Unique mod = win.

Actually I was going to use the mod on a Red armor, but only found the first one on the same level as Cyberarmor. Tried to take this amazing armor to kill AoD with a combat knife without Brute... failed miserably.
