Title: A few questions
Post by: ryballs on May 21, 2013, 19:32
Great game, just wondering a few things:

How do I check durability of equipped items?
How do I enable sound?
How do I get tomes to store scrolls of town portal/identify?
In the description of rogue it says you can detect traps.. How?

durability: just press TAB in inventory and look to item
tomes: what? it's not a Diablo2, just Diablo-1 v. 0.5. No tomes for scrolls here!
sound: you need original Diablo and change config.lua adding path to .mpq

rogue can't detect traps for now... And I do not see traps in game, maybe not implemented yet?

There may be no tomes for scrolls, but there is a Book of Town Portal ;)

And since this is a question thread... For example, stand next to a door, press SPACE and you can close the door again. It has its uses ;)
Also you can skip a turn by pressing CTRL and any movement key. If there is an enemy standing next to you, you will attack them, but if there is nobody, you will skip a turn.

You can check out all the controls in the help file. Anytime press ESC and select Help from the menu.

Yes I know those ones.. ;p

I wish there was a warning when one of your equipment is low on durability (quite sure there was on the original diablo) coz mine always break without me knowing then I wonder why I die :s

There is a warning (yellow - and later red - square), near the down-right part of the screen.
But I have to agree, that it may be better to change it into sth else.
