When people say "pascal is a toy" they usual refer to Turbo Pascal and other such relics from 80s.

Damn stoned junkie programmers, I DO NOT WANT.

If they want verifiable sources, link to homepages of 7DRL/*RL/etc and describe the game in "DoomRL is a rogue-like that is based upon Doom."

And that'd be about it.

Yeup. Unless they decide to be snappy and protect it from edits.

It's a very tiny MUCK. It also hosts lots of dirty things, as well as a completely freeform envinronment, completely non-genre (everything goes) playing zone and an interesting sandbox to play in. But might need a little open mind. It's not particularly active, and does have its bad moments, but eh, it's usually fun.

Yes, you can be a doom marine there (an idea that's been thrown about few times).

I play in MUCK's, which are focused on roleplay. Can't bother killing orcs online. That sort of stuff happens in the privacy of my bedroom, afterall.

What I think you should do, is lay off the booze.

And give it to me.

Yes you did, honey-pumpkins. Remember the thongs. Remember them well.

I think it was through another friend of mine who linked me to it. I then proceeded to download it, played it, then pimped it to everyone I knew on HOTU, wrote a review, pimped it to UD (HOTU's webgoddess) who took liking to my review, and thar she blows.

So, anyway, I hear she's a doom marine who's fighting for the good of Thailand.

I remember when Kornel came to #underdogs. It was pretty serene moment to me. (though he's lost some of his halo now that I know about his drinking habits).

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with yet another server tab on my Xchat. I already got four and only chat in two.

The problem with Adom and ToMe was that most of the time, the keys made no sense at all. Especially with ToME, you'd be pressing Ctrl+alt+# and then typing "dig" or something absurd like that, to simply dig at the wall. It demanded that you'd type your own macros if you wanted the ease and convenience what DoomRL has.

DoomRL, ladies and gentlemen, has simple and quickly learnable keys. You move, you fire by pressing f, you reload with r, and you get stuff by pressing g. Anything beyond that and inventory is truly extra. The tutorial could be nice, but it isn't completely required, most people can pick this baby up with rather ease, I assure you.
