Ages ago I tried the Endless trial and got level 640 I think? Anyway, after giving the game a pause for a while I did this trial again.
Got lucky with a pick, as Sniper is one of my favourite classes, as soon as I got the sniper rifle it became my default weapon, occasionally reaching for backup shotgun. Then I found a Railgun around level 50, I think, due to it's lack of minimal range it displaced the shotgun and in general it's use was only moderated by the ammo, that's why CRI levels were such a joy to me. Once I got the sustain pack I knew I was cooking with gas, as pretty much every shot was a killing one and even when there was no instakill, I could regenerate the lost ammo by killing two enemies or more with single shot, so I stopped carrying ammo for it.
While I was hoping for the long rifle from the start, I only got it once the Railgun was sustained, but I still built up it's kill count so I could use it against the hardiest enemies (charging archmedusas) and once I found sustain pack for it as well, I needed to reload it maybe once every ten levels.
I also found a vampiric pack but I was waiting to find another Long rifle or Railgun, so then I could go with it into infinity, but as it turns out Summoner is waiting on the Level 666, with supped up Long Rifle it was a mere formality.

I wondered if I could get to the experience level 25 on medium without doing Archangel of 666 again. So I tried dual angel challenge with Angel of Darkness, with its fast levelling and Angel of 100. I really don't like Angel of Darkness.
Mistakes were made all through the playthrough, I don't have a saintly patience, so number of enemies were left to be revived until I got a rocket launcher and enough rockets to spare.
Found a nuclear BFG and immediately slapped B and P mods on it, then I found three firestorm packs, but no new BFGs, so no Biggest Fucking BFG :(
Hoped for nano pack to make my laser rifle to be nanonmanufacture, but no luck, did find a sniper pack eventually to make plasmatic shrapnel, which really cut down on rocket use. Also, cerberus armor is really great at reducing the damage inflicted on you.
As for my end goal?
So close yet so far.

Having BTF or Railgun helps a lot when dealing with Medusas, but Arch Medusas can tank even those when charging for the shot. I agree that the running builds are best for dealing with them, especially the Blademaster if you invest in poison.

This update really made it harder for me, had to go back to medium at first to get a hang of it. It was a difficult run for me. For starters I failed to find any armor on Callisto, I missed one box there so perhaps it was there. Anyway I got myself an armor at manufacturing station on Europa 1 and went on to find a CRI SMG and made 7,62 rifle on the next station, before embarking upon Chaos Biolabs, which is more sniper friendly with this update, grabbing AV2 hunting rifle and of course ENV armor (best armor, change my mind) in the Containment Area. Hand grenades were my saving grace on multiple occasions, but perhaps I should be even more liberal with their use to save myself more damage, as the run was a bit stingy on healing items and multitools. I was worrying through whole run, but in the Black Site I started despairing. Still I made it to the Vaults, found BFT9K, some other goodies and made myself an AV3 Sniper rifle.
With hardly any healing stuff remaining I made a beeline for the exit on the Beyond 1 and at 2 I only l looked up for lift to Limbo, which was practically recreational. The Hunt on B3 meant that I could find a good position and pick the oncoming enemies at distance, BFT taking care of the groups, the only survivor being one medusa that floated off to the far reaches of the map. Freezing perk works well on the Summoner.
With hardly any healing stuff remaining I made a beeline for the exit on the Beyond 1 and at 2 I only l looked up for lift to Limbo, which was practically recreational. Well, jump from medium to hard was kind of hard for me. After multiple fails, including couple of promising runs that I lost due to my tunnel vision, I decided to do it a bit differently. I usually decide in advance what kind of playstyle will I use, but this time I choose it depending on the guns my enemies dropped on the first level (sniper rifle and smg), while also making myself armor. This proved good decision because the first armor I would have found otherwise was on Europ Ruins 2. Inbetween I had a 7,62 smg made in the next manufacturing station I found, so there was no problem with ammo.
There was a big problem with lack of healing items, I was on the edge all the way to Infernal Lock, where I fond a vampiric mod, which a happily slapped on my trusty sniper rifle, the murder healing greatly reducing the demand for healing items, allowing me to build up a bit of a reserve. The few grenades that I found at the start were a real lifesavers, before the traits really kicked in, but I reckon i kind of overdid their hoarding later on, when I started really splattering the enemies with the rifle. Still, there were some close calls before the end, but I finally made it through.

I guess playstyle that goes with Scout Sniper agrees the most with me. Getting a hunting rifle for long range work and smg for close up was not difficult and .44 ammo was not an issue past the first few levels. I could handle multiple close call by either going invisible or using a poison grenade, the accurate and resilient/armored exalted opponent being the biggest reason why I was low on healing items through most of Callisto. There was Manofacturing station Mk. II on Mimir Habitat 2 and decided I'll have Marine armor AV2, but pressed helmet instead. Oh well, it served me to the end, but at that moment I'd kick my own ass if the chair was not in the way.
CalSec rewarded me with Jackhammer and a nice hunting rifle which served me until Tyre outpost, where I made myself a really nice sniper rifle. Thus with my mighty gun and traits kicking in, every monster got a ticket on the pain train. I don't think I saw this many single shot kills and splattered ravagers since playing on easy. There were multiple close calls though, especially towards the end when I was encountering 8-10 strong packs of enemies and on couple of occasions I got so carried away splattering the enemy after enemy, that I completely forgot to monitor my health and noticed only at the last moment that I needed healing or GTFO via CRI phase kit.

After couple of crashes on Angel of Impatience I decided to try Angel of Vampirism instead. My previous runs were either high damage or high dodge builds (multiple versions ago that is), but checking out the changed Survivor trait I decided this will be the perfect one for the challenge.
I opted to go the long gun route, doing most of the Callisto with hunter rifle and 9mm SMG with master calibration, which I later exchanged for CRI SMG, due to ammo issues. Also found the Jackhammer in the CalSec. On Tyre Outpost I made a nice AV3 sniper rifle and AV3 helmet that was fully sealed, which saved my bacon later on.
On Io I decided that I have enough ammo to hit the Shadow Halls, I was right, but damn if I wasn't sweating by the end of the Dark Cathedral. Pack of kerbeross also scared the crap out of me, when I realized just how much bleed they piled on me. But in the end, I entered the Dark Cathedral at almost full health, I kind of thought that I will be one shooting everyone, but instead the constant stream of enemies kept almost at perfect health.
Well, once my worst ammo fears were alleviated, I found a sustain pack. Figures.
Beyond L1 was almost the end of me twice, when I got jumped, point blank, by enemies from three sides. Danger close use of poison grenades, krak grenades and emptying all the guns (loading feed on armor was good idea) got me out of the tight spot, but my helmet was destroyed as I ran out of multitools. The rest of the game was rather straightforward. Ran out patience on L3 (it was getting late) and went straight for the Summoner.
I think I suffered a lot more armor damage in this run than in any other.

Yeah, currently Blademaster is beyond brutal once you reach proper level. I love it how you can just run past your enemies and they fall apart, packs of enemies become ''how to carve them in fewest turn'' challenge.

It's an old issue, when you shut down the security on Callisto, the shut down robots are counted twice if you wreck them.

Decided to the Sniper route, got lucky and found hunting rifle already on the Mimir 1, so at the CalSec I got AV3 hunting rifle which was kind of meh and Jackhammer that saved me in multiple close encounters. On Europa 1 I made common 7,62 sniper rifle, due to it's more bountiful ammo, of course couple of enemies dropped the same weapon on the next level. On Asterius 1 I found vampire pack and held on it until Asterius Breach in hope of some good weapon there. My hopes dashed, I slapped it on my sniper rifle. It greatly cut down on the need for healing.
On IO 3 (or was it 4?) I skipped the doors blasting and got surprise by a pack of of reavers from behind the door and pack kerberos from behind the corner, using a CRI pack to escape and then pick them off from the distance. On the Hub I got a near DRL experience as I ran into two packs of enemie two steps out of elevator, a close shave.
On the IO 5 I got sandwiched between incoming lockdown bots and CRI commandos, with no CRI pack I used stealth to sneak behind commandos, who were quickly dispatched by the bots, into corner, from where I started to plink the bots, but then on the other side a pack of arch and toxic reavers broke down the doors of the vault. I was saved by appearance of a single CRI marine who distracted the long enough for me to take out the last CRI bot, got into cover against the reavers and started plinking them. Found another vampiric mod in the vault which I slapped on the Jackhammer. Then I took the elevator to storage area, where my impatience got me into hard fight from three directions, used my last stimpack to ward off heavy poisoning. Found a really snappy AV3 plasma rifle that served me to the end.
Gateway and beyond went rather well, with no mayor hiccups, Summoner went down damageless.

In the previous version I learn to really like Scout and Gun Kata, had a bit of problem now and tried Tech with Sharpshooter and I must admit it is superior, even if have to play both classes completely differently.
Since it was a regular game I coasted a bit with shotguns and hunter rifle early on until I got AV3 .44 at CalSec. I also got Jackhammer there, it got me out of several dangerous situations on the way to Tyre outpost where I got really brutal AV3 7,62 sidearm, which combined with upgrades and traits one-shoted most enemies, I never seen so many enemies splattered, including the high level ones.
Io was really stingy with 7,62 ammo making me quite worried so I took Scavanger only to realize that I need to take lvl.2 in order to get 7,62 ammo. Since I restocked with ammo at Beyond L1, I took Whizkid lvl.3 instead and found that with bulk mod I could get Sustain on the weapon, which greatly reduced the ammo consumption and led to silly situation when double kill got the magazine over capacity. Got a bit cocky at the end and walked into deadly crossfire on L3 and had to use phase kit to get out of the jam, finishing off the merry bunch after I healed. The summoner was a formality afterwards.
In conclusion, I should have more confidence in this build, it is even more potent in this version than it was before.

So I took another shot at the Angel on New York Reload. I really don't like this challenge, but I figured that going the Wizard path, with Grenadier and Toxicologist would be doable. My memory may be faulty, but I think only zombies and CRI troops dropped the guns a few updates ago and now all enemies do.
I was doing fairly well until I decided to visit the CRI Lab, regretting the decision immediately, I have forgotten how tough the CRI Marines are, when you have damage dealing traits and no weapon upgrades and they were felling the hacked CRI bots with gusto. Most of the time I activated my poisonous smoke to get them close, so the bots could chainsaw them. The first level made a great dent in my heal items stores and yet I still went for the armory, despite not having any red cards. Award was really not worth it. Eventually I arrived to only 3 multi tools, hacking at least dozen CRI bots along the way. I wish they would stop walking through the barrels though.

So I went for a rather conservative approach with scout using Cateye to shoot first. I ran into Dragonslayer early on, but there was no Berserker packs on that level, thus I had to leave it behind. I found a laser rifle early enough not to start investing into Eagle Eye, I decided to make it nanomachic, but there was no nano pack in 100 levels, I was saving firestorm pack for a long time to slap it on as the final upgrade, but put it on the BFG in the end. Relied on the shotgun corner shooting a lot, as the power cells were scarce.
Completing the phaseshift set in the last third made my life much easier.
And finally got my hands on the damn Subtle Knife, found every other unique at least twice so far.

Yeah, there was a big update, also revised traits. Made a similar run on the first try of this new update, Tech Sharpshooter rocking the AV3 7,62 sidearm, doing real well and then the computer crashed. It took a lot of willpower not to smash the keyboard.
