Mostly, yes.

Maybe some special OGL library will save me :)

PS: Installing latest drivers helped... I feel embarassed, really.

But the game is still a bit laggy.

PPS: Only menu is laggy. YAY!

That would certainly make everything much more tolerable.
As for chain reactions, ever seen what happens to a cyberdemon behind a big group of monsters?
They quickly change their attention to attacking it instead of you.

It's just that most monsters in the real DOOM die really fast from the cyberdemon rockets.
Let's just say that the infighting should happen if (random(0,3) > 2), which only happens every second or third second. And only if (PlayerHate > Monster*Hate)

For the first sugestion:
What about accuracy? In my view this way of implementing shotgun blast should be as follows:
1) NO accuracy bonus from traits modding and so on (you can't control where each pellet go with your telekinesis powers, can you?)
2) but some accuracy bonus stil needs to be, cause shooting shotgun at point blank and having 50% of pellets miss the target would be ridiculous,
3) NO dodge chance, or ability to dodge one pellet max.

Ny two (three) cents.

I'd say, that this message wolud be better with just reducing FOV radius. Preferably, only for a player.

About wall destruction. Data from 9.9.2, though:

AoMC.
10 dmg plasma - can't shoot through
11 dmg plasma - 10 hits to break
12 dmg plasma - 5 hits to break

11 dmg bullet - can't shoot through

So the closest estimate: 10HP and 20 armor. With 1/2 armor reduction for plasma working as with enemies

Weapons and armor are heavy, right? So make it that AoLT can only carry your currently equipped armor and weapons. If you pick up a new weapon or armor, it auto-equips, just like the first time you get the chainsaw.
Me votes for it. I'd also suggest not allowing to carry two non-pistol guns.
