Read it. I like the realistic weapon design (and newer-game guns) and episode progression. I am very excited to shoot Nazis and loot treasure! You really should add some sort of treasure counter though, just for kicks. And since DOOMRL has no secrets (unnecessary and very hard to implement i feel), I'm okay with them not being in WolfRL either.

I still have a couple of questions: Do you get to name the Wolfguy? And what kind of music will be included?

I thought bulk mods reduce reload time for single shot weapons...

I guess a power mod would have been better, but I figured that a bulk mod would reduce reloading time as I strafe. Yeah, I'm not going to put bulk mods on single-shot guns I can reload by moving anymore. I might try AoMr next.

@Radagast: I guess I could, but I already cleared the level before and found a missile launcher(which I couldn't have used). I figured I wouldn't risk it anyway; I DID fin a unique in a regular level (that I couldn't use either). I picked it up to get it registered as a find anyway.

@LuckyDee: Eustace (Bagge, I now know) is one ass-kicking son of a bee.

So yeah, shotguns are awesome. And nanofiber armor. This was the game immediately after my last game, the mortem of which I posted here (almost killed her with a gatling gun, but I didn't have enough resources). This time, I had more than enough, but I didn't need any of it. I just ended up running with Shottyman (and MAD) blasting with my SSH (decided to visit Hell's Armory, just for some loot). I started branching out into other traits as well, Badass (started the fight at 200% health), SoB and TaN probably helped a bit too. I'm pretty elated, really, but this is probably just the first of many triumphs to come. I believe I started playing DOOMRL back in late 2010/early 2011, FYI, on and off.

And yes, I did name him Eustace Bagg.

I wish to know if I can turn character classes off in a mod, and/or edit the descriptions of traits. I also wish to know how I can open the non-core WAD files. I apologize for bumping this thread but I feel that it is the most prudent place to ask my question. Thank you for understanding.

I know I should branch out, and I do occasionally, but Survivalist is my favorite Master trait for regular runs. It's versatile and it suits my playstyle. The other Master traits I go for are the ones appropriate to AoMr and AoSh runs (i haven't tried the former yet in 0.9.9.7; Army of the Dead is pretty cool). Survivalist lets you overheal with medkits and have a chance to completely shrug off otherwise damaging attacks, I believe.

I WOULD have scavenged some more but I was pretty close to death during most of my time in Hell; I was pretty skint for stuff except ammo (shells and 10mm that is).
I've come to realize the value in speed(I know how to run, strafe and use Agility mods now), so I'm less of a tank than I used to be. Still satisfying to push forward and mow down everything in your path though.

Funnily enough I actually had a nuke in Dis on an AoMr run. I forgot to activate it. *facepalm* That's Newkirk down there in my signature. Might have the mortem up here on the forums, then again I might not (it's so embarrassing arrghghgh)

How did Survivalist work out? It's one of the traits I never bothered trying, thinking something more offernsive or swift might do better - in this case, only 1 level of SoB (which I realise was unavailable to MSv) would have probably made all the difference...

I was the closest I've ever been. Perhaps if I had dared to scavenge a little more for medkits, armor or a nuke, or deigned to use my rockets...whatever. Still a good run. I opened up with the laser rifle first (only one magazine), then followed with the gatling gun. I tried to lead her in a circle around a pillar. Seriously, if I had just a little more something I would have won.

I just find myself using shotguns and going for shotgun builds more than I do chaingun builds. That could change, but shotguns will always remain viable in my eyes.

How good is a gatling gun against the Mastermind? I'm asking this because I'm going up against her with one (and a tac shotgun, agility-modded RL, laser rifle with one magazine of ammo, with tac boots and agility-modded blue armor). I've got plenty of ammo but only around two medkits. I've utilized running and dodging so far in this game to great effect (as evidenced by the fact that I made it to the final boss in the first place). And no, I don't have a nuke. Any advice you guys might have for me?
