While last release of DiabloRl and AliensRL was about a year before, the release of BerserkRL was much earlier. And this game has more potential to be different from "classiacal" roguelikes.

What about setting every reload time to 0, like it was in the original?

Also, green armor outperforms blue on formers. I suppose it should be fixed, because in the original, next tier was always better than the previous.

Also, disable phase devices please. And tracking maps.
Edit: Oh, sorry. The mod seems to stop working after save/loading. If that's not author's fault, I'll post this as a bug.

And make the walls (and possibly items) indestructible.

Also a good idea as for me would be to implement juggler trait bonuses.

I'd vote for it remaining as a module. not as a challenge mode, because it's required play style is way too different from the original. Also, the mix of weapons is not crucial, the thing you need to understand is that without experience, you have absolutely no need to kill everything.

Also, the thing that would make it a little easier - disabling enemies picking items up. It's not as it was in Doom, and new buffed armors make it a real trouble to kill ordinary formers.

Another idea would to merge it with AoI, thus making it even more harder, but bringing it even closer to vanilla Doom. And since we're already upgrading weapons, why not upgrade them a little more, and implement this?

In case that matters, I've also experienced the second problem. Not sure if it has something to do with DoomRL, but my input sound level sometimes is set to zero, while normally I don't touch it at all. Output level is untouched, so it's quite hard to track it unless you use microphone regularly.

I was going to try a Scavenger new master trait. Then, on level 3 I've found a Combat pistol. After that, I've found another Combat Pistol on level 4. At that moment. every monster suddenly felt that he was doomed. Dual Combat Pistols, while heavily modded, deal insane amount of damage, killing everybody in a split second.

However, that wasn't enough. Assembling a Cerberus Armor from an Onyx one was even more overpowered. Before it, Revenants were able to seriously damage me before getting killed. Indestructible armor that completely prevents almost any damage a late enemy would deal to you, what else could a marine ever want? Even the mighty Cyberdemon wasn't able to deal more damage than a former sergeant did.

So, the Ao100 is still as easy as it was before 0.9.9.3. The power of DoomGuy raises much faster than demons can handle, and by level 40 any player will find it's own overcombo that kills every demon on sight.
