Wasn't that close of winning, really. If you had managed to Cyberdemon, then maybe.

347
1) JC didn't have any time for summoning.

2) Yeah. Most of them were with AoB, which is, as it's well known, pretty hard until you get a chainsaw.

One more for the show!

Modsoul: (Find the reference!)
Requires: 3 for Whizkid
Allows you to apply mods on yourself. These will take effect with whatever weapon you're using. You can fit 8 mods at maximum on your body.

349
But you, unlike me, didn't beat JC!

Before him 212 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 199 of those were killed.
8 of those were killed by something unknown.
And 5 couldn't handle the stress and commited a stupid suicide.

--------------------------------------------------------------

In addition, I had three levels less than you. Thus, I'm a better player and TaN's better trait than HR! My logic is undeniable!

*Diabolical, egoistic laughter*

Edit: Yeah you didn't have LS, but that's compeletely irrelevant.

Okay, how 'bout this?

Hellspawn:
Requires: 2 for Brute, 3 for Son of a Bitch, 2 for Hellrunner
Transforms you permanently into an Arch-Vile. This'd mean +20 to HP, +2 to armor, pretty big bonuses for speed and melee damage (dunno the exact amount), and the ability to fire those flame pillar thingies if you're unarmed. The player's simply become such a demonic bastard during his adventures that he literally turns into a demon himself.

Maybe you shouldn't get that close. Just stay far away and pick them one by one.

Requests For Features / Nude berserking!
« on: May 05, 2007, 03:02 »
The idea occurred me at Chained Court at one point: See, I always take my armor away there, because it becomes obsolete due to the large amounts of life available. At one point I came to think, that how come there's no kind of bonuses to have if you're berserking without armor? I mean, there should be! Because true berserkers never wear armor.

Like I dunno... Bonus to damage and speed. Would that be nice?

I've also seen this message given to me, but the stairs were just out in the open, i didnt really look for them...

The message always comes when you enter a labyrinth, just like you'll always get "Twisted passages carry the smell of death" when you enter a cave.

Discussion / Re: Damage comparison
« on: May 04, 2007, 13:20 »
Possibly because the DS damage is all those little shells put together. Even at point blank range, some of them will miss, which will result in less damage than there should be. Not sure about this.

I'm making a difference! Woo!

Two more:

Stalker (I'm pretty sure the idea of some "sneaky" trait has been presented several times. Let's see if my suggestion is any different to those):
Requires: 2 for Hellrunner
Enemies can't see you if there's anything bigger directly next to you, i.e. you'll be invisible to them if you're next to a wall, a barrel, or a monster - in the last case, though, the particular enemy can see you. If you attack an enemy or do anything hostile, they will be able to see you, until you either move or wait. Picking up items, reloading weapons, and such are allowed while remaining hidden.

Armorer:
Requires: 2 for Ironman, 1 for Tough as Nails
You can fix armors over time, i.e. they will regenerate, about as fast as your extra life decays while having Badass on the first level. Second level on this trait will increase the regeneration rate, as well as increase the general HP of all armors by 10%. Third level, while further speeding the regeneration, will also make it so that the armor will always give at least 1 armor point, no matter how damaged they are.

Bug Reports / Where the hell is the way out of here?!
« on: May 04, 2007, 09:24 »
Well, for some reason I can't upload a screenshot, but anyway...

I'm on one of those new kind of labyrinth levels, and I can't find an exit. However, there's a suspicious looking little spot in the lower-right corner, all covered by walls, to which I can't enter. I'd suppose my exit is there. Unfortunately, I don't have a rocket launcer, and I already cleared the level of all imps. So I guess I have no other way out but quitting, and I'd like you to fix this annoying little labyrinth bug ASAP. It was a really good game and all...

I noticed, and it's a good thing indeed. But most of the monsters are easy enough to take down anyway if you get close enough. "If you get close enough" is the important part: It's nigh impossible with sergeants, at least without giftdropping, and even with that, you're gonna have to linger in their LoS for a couple of turns, as a sitting duck.

Edit: Also, boy I wish giftdropping worked on Imps.

50% isn't big? Because it sounds pretty big to me, and I indeed can't hit anything in the dark anymore.

And however it is, Inituition is now, for me, pretty useless.

Imho it's not bad that our score.dat and player.dat are incomplatible. Remember, we are playing this game not for result and not for Major(Captain, General, choose any) rank, but for the game itself. So to get back out ranks, we need to complete all this challenges, but in new version. A good stimulation for us to play hard.))
It's those challenge modes. Those're the catch. I had tons of fun with Angels of Haste and Purity, and now I can't play with them anymore. Instead, I'll be forced to finish the game with AoB again, and while the particular challenge is tons of fun once I get the chainsaw, getting that far is, believe me, massive pain pain PAIN PAIN SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE GRWARFGH FGRARGHF BLRGAAAA!!!

Intuition is still very useful (the 50% miss rate's almost trivial when you know where your enemies are exactly, and that only costs 1 rank - the other 2 have their own advantages which haven't been reduced at all),
Sure, but for me, the main reason to pick Inituition is to snipe all those enemies from afar before they can even see me. Since that's taken away, I won't bother with all those other advantages, instead picking up something else altogether.

Wizzkid's great, especially with such useful requirements,
Unfortunately for me, I never manage to find advanced weapons at all. Or if I do, they're something like Advanced shotgun when I'ven't picked Shottyman. It's never Advanced chaingun or plasma rifle, which'd be the most useful ones. Sucks.

In another matter, if I play AoM and manage to find another Advanced pistol, how can I choose which pistol I put my mods on?

which also open another great advanced trait, namely Juggler.
I'm not a big fan of this one, since I usually keep plasma rifle on my hands all the time: If they're some really nasty guys, fine. I'll just blast them to pieces. If they're something less dangerous, I'll easily shrug off their pathetic attacks while switching to chaingun.
