Bug Reports / Re: Critical Error: <TSound/0/0> Can't open SDL_Mixer!
« on: April 30, 2008, 17:17 »
Didn't work for me :(
EDIT:Hmm, perhaps part of the problem is that there are NO .INI's in the folder.
Wtf?
EDIT2: There are .ini's, I'm just stupid/blind. Also, I fixed this problem by disabling sound and music in the .ini, but as an obvious consequence I have no sound or music, so I'm looking at it as a temporary fix.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 and when I tried to start DoomRL 'Critical Error: <TSound/0/0> Can't open SDL_Mixer!' came up in the command prompt shell and DoomRL wouldn't start.
Halp?

Make it so that you can turn survivors on or off in the .ini, then I'd love for this to be implemented.

Bug Reports / Re: Crashing on Vista (v0.9.8.9)

Bump/Double post/Update
I read in another thread that you're supposed to use the .bat file, and I haven't been. Is it possible that that's the cause? Farfetched, yes, but I just want to make sure.
EDIT: Upaut would probably still appreciate this being answered, but I switched back to good old XP.

I have the same problem. Also, disabling hibernation didn't work;it crashed and took all the files with it. Scoreboard was cleared, Player info was too. The archived postmortems are still there however.
Oh, and I use a PC not a laptop.
